Is that almost 3x more sigs than Namco-Bandai needed for Dark Souls to be made for PC?

Seems a bit like an insult to me.

"Oh we don't think a TS game would sell, give us 300k signatures and we'll think about it."

Sure guys, that doesn't look like a big slap in the face to the fans or anything. 300k is an insane number to ask for in a petition signing.

What if they get only 150k names? I'm not sure would I laugh or cry if they didn't make that HD collection because they were missing 100k names..
