We plan to have a wide range of people in on the beta. And contrary to some peoples beliefs around here, we would love the COD community to fall in love with RO 2

I have a feeling that many COD gamers will be jumping ship once they realize how much more of a game RO2 will be.

The fact that we will have the public server files and 64 player servers will attract the majority of the clans since COD:MW2 and COD:BO are both failing in that area.

It is very important for clans to be able to run multiple servers on their dedicated gaming box. Thanks to Tripwire, the traditional pc community gaming will be able to continue and flourish.

We are in for some good times soon!

Just to be clear, I'm suggesting for the very limited closed beta, not the 20k beta. I figure by the time the 20k beta starts up, it's just bug squashing.

I would think there would be a bit more time to tweak the UI and what not if you get input at the closed beta period.

I Immediatelly falled for ROOST on the very first game play,but I think I sort of lost my mind iven more when played DH mod,that mod has magical maps.I use to play competitive in vCOD and UO,COD2 and COD4 and I honestly dont see why iven the average COD player wont roll his sleeves and give his best to get better at this game.

Also you guys should not only look up onto the COD community,me and some other peeps are already making waves and posting info regarding RO2 at the EA Battlefield forums,you guys will attract players from the BF series also since RO2 have what BF players need or been longing for:Big maps,64 players!!!,commander in a squad,Tanks,vehicles,they might be longing for some dogfight combat,but its not the end of the world thats why they will have all the tanks to get happy with...So its not only COD fans that keep an eye on this game,its BF fans too.

Yep ... especially since the next CoD iteration, Black Ops, won't have private dedicated servers AND the player limit is capped permanently at a pitiful 24 players. It's like 1 step forward, 3 steps back.

So I don't see any reason why RO2 can't appeal to those thousands of CoD PC players that want a real game. It's not about making RO like CoD, it's about making a great game that others want to play. RO is certainly different that CoD, but isn't that why we love it? Why can't CoD gamers love it too?

Haha yeah, such is the opinion of a competitive gamer, who thinks everyone buys super rigs so they can be super l337.

CoD, BF, MoH community are welcome and needed in RO, however I wouldn't like to see fixing/changing RO into their games for that reason. I truly understand, that new PC only FPP shooter is needed badly in these days, but newcomers should fit into game, not vice versa.

That's odd. I'm not a competitive gamer at all. In fact, besides tanking, I'm mediocre at best in RO, yet I've got an i7 and GTX 460. Of course, my rig is primarily for Photoshop / Lightroom.

You said it sir,I just started 4 days a go playing ROOST,and honestly I dont want another COD game,anyways RO2 is more mellow people should get used to it easier than on ROOST,I find ROOST rough,punishing and unforgiving,but I love it the way it is,and as from the videos of RO2,looks like we have more fluid gameplay,I hope tripwire team dont try to please the COD and BF casuals who think the game is too rough and think it should be more consolised,NO WAY SIR!!!
