Can you fill us in on when this happens, please? Is it when you're starting the game? Changing Maps? Alt+tabbing?

Also, can you tell us how often this happens? every 5 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, few hours, few days, etc?

Well specifically it happened consistently on one map (in game) - the arcade gas station map. Whenever I would be shooting, the game would start to hitch then eventually crash. It probably happened every ten minutes. However the game runs fine on other maps.

P.s. I have Windows 7 waiting to be installed, will KF crash less/run better on Windows 7?

Hmm, this map is not an official one. So it may be a bug in the map itself. I myself don't know the map. I don't have any custom maps yet.

That sounds possible because I don't usually crash on other maps. Do you have any information about KF on Windows 7 by any chance?

A number of people are getting much longer load times on Windows 7, though people on Windows XP are also having the problem, but it doesn't appear to be as prevalent on XP. It simply depends on your hardware, so there's no guarantee it will be better or worse on Windows 7.

I get this occasionally when either starting the game or loading up a map, my system specs are:

Processor: Intel Inside Celeron 1.5GHz
Graphics: ATI Radeon 200M series 256MB (I think!)
OS: Windows XP 32-Bit
Sound Card: I honestly have no idea, but it works fine for everything I use.

I get the crash on average once, maybe twice a month. Also, on the error message up top where it says "UT2004_build" mine says "KillingFloor_Build".

Given the error, it certainly appears to be a machine specific thing. Either in the drivers, the installed version of DirectX, or the video card overheating, perhaps.

Me too...

Me too...

I just got this critical error:

Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48]
OS: Windows NT 6.0 (Build: 6002)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3000 MHz with 4093MB RAM

This is the first time it's happened, I'm using D3D (not 9) with no fancy filtering, normal texture settings, and I was using 256 cache size, I'll try reducing it to 128. I've had lots of game freezes on KF but this is the first time I got an error message. I went to attach my KF log file but for some reason it's 84 Mb! It has a lot of repeat text, is that normal? The KF log says this stuff over and over:

Warning: LobbyMenu Package.LobbyMenu (Function KFGUI.LobbyMenu.DrawPerk:005E) Accessed None 'MenuMovie'
Warning: LobbyMenu Package.LobbyMenu (Function KFGUI.LobbyMenu.DrawPerk:005E) Accessed None 'MenuMovie'

Log: WARNING - negative weight 0 from InventorySpot17 to InventorySpot25
Log: WARNING - negative weight 0 from InventorySpot17 to InventorySpot33

Towards the end of the log file (I'm guessing this is more relevant since today's date was shown) it says this:

Warning: KFPlayerController KF-Wyre.KFPlayerController (Function KFmod.KFPlayerController.ClientLocationalVoiceMessage:00D4) Accessed None 'MyTrader'

I'm on Windows Vista. I got the error immediately after buying an AA12 on Wyre. (Very disappointing!!) AA12 is also listed in the error file. I never had trouble rendering the AA12 before. Also worth noting, I recently deactivated the Windows page file. I have 4 gigs of ram on Vista, is it possible my ram overflowed and caused this crash? Should I turn the page file back on, perhaps at minimum 200mb?

I wouldn't assume that it's related to the page file, but it's definitely worth a shot. Please let us know what happens when you do that...

Activating the page file seems to have done the trick. I set it to what windows vista x64 recommended, 6419 mb (i have 4 gigs ram)
