Crash on startup

Hey all,

Got gifted the game on Steam. Downloaded and install all fine. Tried to run the game. Crash on startup. I see the splash screen, wait a second, then a tiny window appears and does nothing until I click on it, then windows tells me it's not responding.

So I tried all the usual stuff, verify game files, re-install, I even tried running the .exe directly. Still crashes just like before. So here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 3520M
GPU: NVidia GeForce GT 645M
RAM: 16GB
OS: Win 7 64bit

I tried to use the "-dx10" on startup like the forums said, that gave me a black fullscreen, a pneumatic sounding noise, then crash again. I also tried using "-window" but that did nothing.

EDIT 2: So I looked up a program that checks the .dll files you may need cause I really want to play this game. The girl who gifted me this game has been sifting through all my .ini files to try fix whatever problem I'm having, but I reckon I've found the issue. I just don't know how to fix it :/

Those are all the .dll files I'm apparently missing, but neither re-install nor verify game files fixes it. I have no idea how to get a hold of them. Starting to think I need some dev help here...
