[Tuning] Cover System seems to have gotten worse?

I don't know if its just me but since the latter patches the cover system doesn't seem to be working aswell as it did when the public beta first started. I don't know if its just the maps or if its something in the actual engine code.

During the first release i thought the cover system was perfect and extremely well done. Now with the later patches, the cover system seems to be abit more buggy and i find myself crouching and leaning from cover instead of using the system itself.

I tend to find that when trying to attach to cover, it doesn't always do it now, sometimes it will do a weird glitchy animation as if your trying to move into the cover position but are getting rubberbanded back. Also when your aiming out of a window, over a fence, wall, whatever it is, alot of the time the Ironsights don't work properly and you will have to either quickly deattach from the cover and pop back in again to get it to work properly, usually meaning you either miss seeing enemies movements or give them enough time to setup in position to kill you.

The same goes for trying to jump over objects or through windows. During the earlier releases of the public beta, it was all running fine and dandy but again, it seems abit more hit and miss now. Most of the time it worse but everynow and then your character seems to have trouble getting over it.

I don't know if its just me or if its because no one else has noticed but its definately not as good as what it was initially.

I hope you guys find the cause of it. It might just be the newer maps aren't setup properly or a bug within the actual system itself. When it is working its the best cover mechanic i've ever seen in a FPS. So many options to for when your in cover and its so simple to use.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the cover system itself hasn't changed, but the maps that have been recently cycled in are the problem. There's a lot of new geometry in the new maps which could be bugging out the cover system. Mantling especially seems to have some bugs that weren't apparent in the original maps but became more obvious in some of the latter maps.

The exception to this theory is the misaligned iron sights. This has been a problem since the release of the beta and seems to occur at random.

I have been suffering this issue since the very first moment ... and thats very bad because I use to play as MG , sometimes I have to try 2 or 3 times to deploy the MG and most of these times you use to die in a stupid way because all the enemies noticed that stupid guy in a window doind strange things instead shoooting enemies ....

I don't know what happesn with cover and ironsights , but a lot of times you get involved in a stupid bug .

For me that bug only happens when I deploy the MG and use the zoom before the deploy has finished ... I did not tried to reproduce it with anyother weapons , but maybe it's caused by zooming quickly before end the ironsight animation .
