Besides Weapon skins and cosmetics, im fine with weapon varients.
Like having the Steampunk Tommy be a literal clone as the Rising Storm Tommy. TF2 has this, like in the invasion update had a Laser gun, which was a clone of the stock pistol.

And can you tell me who exactly loves reskins in TF2 besides people who cares more about trading than playing the goddamn game?

Exactly. I'd rather have them focus on something interesting and truly different that wasting their time on doing a proper reskin.

Exactly. I'd rather have them focus on something interesting and truly different that wasting their time on doing a proper reskin.
A lot of people? It's why people still make them and valve accepts them? Clone weapons are less of a hassle as you don't need to worry about "balance" and such.
And what makes you think this is all coming out immediately? Excuse you, where have I or anyone have stated that we want TW to halt everything they are working on, simply so we can get cosmetics and reskins out and properly running in the next update? If your upset at the drop system in general, then step away from the forums and go walk in the park or something.

I don't think people makes "skins" (besides those weird gamebanana skins they put in Counter-Strike and then in TF2...) on purpose. They make whole new weapons with a different model and then they end up being only skins when they could be a whole new gun because Valve felt like doing so. I was really hoping the new guns proposed in the Invasion update could have their own stats but instead they end up being once again reskins... I don't get the point. I really don't. Is it simply to show some kind of pride? Maybe. I guess it's simply a matter of opinion.

Still,I'd rather have fewer stuffs,but that truly change the game instead of having a ****-ton of reskins.

(Except as end-game content or even worse...as microtransactions)

NO to crates/keys, and NO to random drops. However, earning a player skin or weapon skin by achievement either through map completion/objective completion, or a special holiday event would be nice. I'd prefer to see both paid and earned cosmetic DLC. NO to weapon packs, and NO to map packs. Just no.:cool:

unlockable cosmetics based on beating X map on Y difficulty
as well as unlockable cosmetics for having X team reward on Y map for Z difficulty.
would be p cool.
or achievement stuff?
nightvision goggle cosmetic for getting most kills in dark parts of a map [like subway in paris] or something?

DLC stuff works fine too this would just make it cool to hunt for like. clothes. and know that when someone wears something its like "heyy you did that thing"
