I thought when I bought KF that there was enough weapons but as the game went on I thought the game could use more weapons like a SAW, sniper rifle, bolt action rifle, tazer pistol, lead pipe, ETC.

Do you agree?:cool:

There is one thing i really want from there: a sniper rifle. Think a tier 4 super-powered crossbow, a kind of LAW of the SS. It would be extremely heavy and expensive, but with a higher power, penetration, and rate of fire.

The taser should be replaced, however. I'm thinking a medic-stun dart gun

The lead pipe....perhaps they could be an emergency melee weapon thats really easy to find.

-SAW? You mean Light support weapon? Yeah, kinda want to see this, but I bet it would be overpowered, and if stationary, would encourage camping.

-Bolt action rifle - ol' LAR isn't good enough?

-Tazer pistol - ability to stun enemies with heavy caliber weapons/melee attacks isn't enough?

-Lead pipe - it IS already in the game. You can find it in some custom maps. Works just like an axe.

Yeah, like we needed to buff up sharpshooter to more than a demigod it is now.

The Xbow is already super-powered. It can take off Fleshpound heads in one go. We don't need more power than that. The fact that it doesn't have a mega high penetration and rate of fire gives it a distinct weakness. Something your weapon wouldn't have at all.

^ You've got one good weapon here for the sharpshooter. It's bolt-action, it's a sniper rifle, and before anyone says anything, the controversy of the Sharpshooter having too many weapons will be WIPED if the gunslinger perk comes into action. Pistols go to gunslinger. :D
Also, these WW2 weapons give tripwire a chance to say "classic weapons pack."

The xbow is Only OP due to it's insane headshot damage, which I think is 4/8x bonus from reading the forums.
All weapons have the same heatshot multiplier but the crossbow deals it all in one shot which overcomes the decap-damage-in-one-shot requirement to decap specs. Coupled with the +60% damage and +50% heatshot damage for shapshooters this is insane damage.

Do you agree?
No. The balance between weapons already has issues and only becomes more pronounced as weapons are added. No one has identified the niche that these will fill other than saying they are an upgrade of another gun. And if you are looking for weapons that act the same but look different then find/request a mod or do it yourself.

the would break the game and you know it

UNLESS
tripwire makes the crossbow a lot weaker ( take about two head shots to decap fp )
and a new expensive sniper rifle would replace the "I win" weapon aka xbow

This is correct, my mistake.

Additionally:
A head shot has a chance of decapitating the target's head, as long as it inflicts at least 1/15th of it's health, and the target is below 50% health.

The lead pipe was from the mod. There are many oddities that can be found like the concussion grenade.

I've heard of that theory many times but I don't think it's correct. You can easily decap a clot at full HP with a single hit with 9mm or bullpup for example.

I've seen script extracts that seems to suggest a seperate head HP independant from total HP. The two HP have seperate modifiers for each additional player (Scrake have like 75% more total HP per player, but only 50% more head HP). Headshots will reduce both HP while body shot only reduce total HP. If you deplete head HP then it will result in a decap.

Siren and I think one other specimen have 'Hard Head' attribute that means they cannot be decapitated unless their total HP is below something like 10%. In which case a decap will then add enough damage that they will always die when their head pop. So you will never see a Siren bleeding out.

Thats exactly what i want. A powered-down crossbow, and a powered up but super-expensive sniper with insanely horrible close range.

I've heard of that theory many times but I don't think it's correct.
Siren and Scrake both have hard head (and yes it is 10%). Some specs have head hp low enough that they will decap with 1-2 shots (bloat and clot are only I think). In general though they act according to this property though. I'm not quite sure how head hp works exactly since a friend was working on a mod to remove decaps that included increasing head hp to 9999999. But specs still decapped.

I'm not convinced hard head works the way we think, since you can easily 1 shot Scrake from 100% HP with 1 headshot from xbow.

The xbow does enough damage to kill the scrake outright. It always could, as long as you aimed at the invisible head on its shoulder.
