Seriously, this shouldn't be controversial; I agree with CandleJack and others in that it shouldn't be taboo or hated, but neither should it be forced onto things it shouldn't be. However, I disagree with such ridiculous claims as all bronies being gay and/or pedophiles or that it somehow signals severe mental illness, which is foolish mudslinging. We should be above this.
People like the show, let them like the show. And furthermore, I see no reason why a brony thread here should be negative; preaching is annoying for everyone, but a thread or two for fans wouldn't be a problem for other fanbases and shouldn't be a problem for this one.
As for having ponies with the :IS2:, let us not forget the Hello-Kitty IS-2...it taught us how social barriers shall be ground up beneath our tracks and smashed under the glorious shells of our lord.
In all seriousness, though, this shouldn't be a source of conflict. Vintage is still Vintage, pony avatar or no, and our members are still the same people; why hate them over a hobby? Bronies have yet to get overly obnoxious or spamesque, and I firmly believe that you should not hate out of potential for wrongs; that leads only to stupidity.
Also, lighten up Gibby; wait until they wrong before you reprimand them.
Okay, enough patronizing nonsense for now: these forums always had people who were fun, accepting, and nice, and despite the many rantings in that last thread, I trust this forum fully, and already numerous users here have shown very tolerant attitudes.
