First of all, love the game, its fun, yet shallow, but defiantly worth the price, and have been recommending it to any of my steam friends who say "is that game any good?"
Here is a small list of ideas, that think could help deepen the game experience. One of the first things i have noticed was the gameplay gets a little stagnant after a while, so perhaps the introduction of some new game modes would be nice.
New game play modes:
-Rescue: Since the game seems to center around a military squad rather than just a group of survivors, a la L4D, perhaps we could make some of the objectives more militant in mind. In this mission setup, the shop is in a location, that doesn't change. however, the players must find a group of survivors and lead them to an evac point. The location of the survivors changes randomly each time. The faster you get the survivors to the evac point, the more time you have to get back to the shop before the next group is located. The entire team receives a cash bonus for each survivor that makes it out. Enemies spawn once a group of survivors has been located, and will stop spawning when the survivors are gone, dead or evac'ed.
-Search and Destroy: Players must fight through hordes of specimens and other nasty things to seek out key locations, such as sewer entrances, lab entrances, and other areas where the creatures come from, and set a charge to detonate them. This one starts off a little backwards from the others, the shop appears at the beginning of the map, allowing players to stock up, each player is given a nice chunk of money to start the game with, around 1.5K pounds. This is because the map is actually much harder at the beginning with many spawn locations, more enemies will be coming from multiple directions. As the players detonate the spawn locations, it becomes easier.
Other ideas:
-Female Characters: My Girlfriend and I play L4D, we play killing floor as well but she doesn't like pretending she has a penis, I'm sure shes not alone in this. It also odd to hear her voice come out of a male character, its more awkward when shes stuck with bill in l4d.
-Player Spawns: One of the problems i have with jumping into a game is that often times, especially on farm, i start 200+ meters away from the shop where the other players are. by the time i make about 100 meters the shop closes and i get swarmed with nasties, i die, and have to wait for the next round, which happens pretty much the same. Could players joining the game that is between rounds spawn in the shop? or at least close to their teammates?
-Perk Unlocked weapons: After acquiring a certain level in a perk, new items become available in the shop, not just guns, but other things. like say for a level 3 medic, you unlock the Emergency defibrillator, that allows you to revive a fallen teammate, as long as a) it is within 60 seconds of their death, b) their body has not been eaten, and c) players can only be revived once. Support specialists can unlock claymore mines that can set traps for enemies. Essentially each perk can unlock something, or somethings from the shop, however you can only buy what your active perk will allow.
-More Barricade Items: Move things likes chairs, bookshelves, tables and other stuff to create obsticals between you and the hordes of icky nasty things.
Thats all for now, I'm sure I'll have more later.
