I'm not sure how many Warcraft 3 players are still out there, but there's a kind of niche map called SWAT: Aftermath which involves a heavy team play component. There's a slew of specialized classes, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. I was wondering if anyone's played this map before, and if so if Killing Floor is similar.

AWESOME... This is the first KF Comparison thread on the entire board that is not about a certain other very popular game.

You, Sir, are win.

I have played this, it was a lot of fun actually.. but in over-all gameplay, no. It's almost nothing how killing floor is/will be. Same kind of concept as far as survival is concerned, but that's the extent of it. Still a fun custom map though.

Are there specific classes, or is it a "do whatever you've got equipment for" kind of game? There's not much in the way of specifics about the game. The only thing I can glean is there's a nice array of weaponry, some tools to make survival easier, and you fight off waves of enemies until you meet up with a boss.

It's alot like the film ALIENS, Where You are in confined areas and choose a weapon load out that will compliment the rest of Your team, this will then be reflexed in what kind of perks you get (From what I can understand)........Oh wait Am I allowed to compare KF with ALIENS;):D

From the tone earlier, it would seem that as long as you don't reference anything recent involving zombies, published on Steam, you're cool.
