65 bucks here. Pfff. Also, what the hell is "Pre-purchase now and receive when the game is released: Medium weight vehicle pattern bundle - German Rotbraun and Russian Leningrad" supposed to mean??
Day 1 DLC? And vehicle skins, by the looks of it? Smooth move...

I don't have luck with GMG. Doesn't like my paypal acount, hates my debit/credit card. And now this.

Not like I'm interested in the game since I read the "ingame currency" stuff, but It would suck if THQ begins to put regional pricing here too with Steam

Given THQ's raging hard-on for DLC, based on how they treated Dawn of War II, my guess would be it's akin to MS points, where you earn in game currency and can spend it on DLC if you have it, or pay cash. And by DLC I mean, skins, skins, skins, more skins, and single units they want you to pay $1 to 5 for. Or DLC commander abilities. Or some ****.

CoH 2 was initially a day 1 buy for me, but with so much stuff coming out right in its window, the implied stupidness of their revenue scheme, and the fact I've seen **** ALL of gameplay since they announced it and it's already coming out....

I'm in wait-and-see/wait-for-sale mode. Seriously, there's been nothing shown about the game beyond stills and some pure marketing trailers. It's more than a little concerning, like they're rushing it to market. I'd hope we get at least 1 gameplay video before release.

Amen. I had high hopes for this one, but I desperately want at least one vid before I make up my mind.

Microsoft Points are bought, not earned in-game. At least not in any game I know.
The Gamerscore points you get from achievements aren't worth anything.

I post on the coh forums regularity and i haven't read anything about in game currency. I read there will be some DLC but special edition includes 75 $ worth of the DLC so its by far the best deal if you were going to play it as much as i am going to. (i still play vcoh).

I haven't really read anything that makes me particularly excited about CoH2... it seems to be basically the same as the first game. I read about a really gimmicky weather system they're adding that sounds downright silly to me, but I'll wait for user reviews to decide what I think.

Lol, sounds like you're happy about your preorder.

that happens when you drink a lot of beer and decide you want a game. but the more i read about it the better i think about it. but i still hope you will not go into combat for the motherland but a real german campaign is featured, too.

Maybe I'm just remembering CoH 1 better than it is, but I've spent close to 300 hours playing it and built half a dozen maps in it and spent a lot of time eyeballing stuff at the maximum camera zoom and tilt.

And CoH 2 looks like it hasn't made much graphical progress since then. Now, maybe that's the highest level of fidelity and quality they can use for the game to be playable. And I'm not saying it's bad or that graphics are oh so important. But when the video ran, I felt myself pretty surprised seeing that things haven't really come that far.

The game however does look like there's a lot more packed into it it now. The screen is practically crawling with activity in some of those shots.

Glad to see they finally got their video out. Still not sure if I want to pre-order or not though. I have the money, although not the time, but something in me still wants to hear some reviews.

I'm interested in CoH2, but when you look at what happened with Dawn of War to Company of Heroes to Dawn of War 2... Eek.

I just hope CoH2 is a step up.
