Thanks for the info on the tanks Cwivey! Yeah....I'm out at least until BK gets to it. Incidentally, do they also make you shoot your own unarmed men, or did they remove that?
Its a multiplayer lagfest with two viable tactics - Russians basically spam as many Conscripts and T34s/SU-76s they can get there hands on, whereas the Germans just try and hold on until they get Panzer 4s and then its "lets see how many Russians we can kill with zis thing, ja!Oh look, its over 9,000!" CoH 1 is still better atm. It's OPEN BETA, why not try it out yourselves.
Haven't had any crashes yet, but I do get the lag/fps issues even though my computer should be able to run it easily. I hope they fix this before the beta ends.I get so many crashes mid-game its getting really frustrating.. anyone else get that? any solutions?
Also the game plays terrible on my machine, while I can play Red Orchestra 2 on high details - I can barely run this on lowest details and when I put lowest details it still says 'WARNING YOU PUT SETTINGS FAR TOO HIGH FOR YOUR COMPUTER'
Well they just added about 30 packs of skins and Commanders as DLC to the steam store. Probably best to wait for a 50/75% sale if you want those.
I hope this is the case with COH 2. Edit: Just played it, no issues at all. However the Soviets firing on their own troops thing made it in. They also put the Tiger back in MP & your experience from SP campaign increases your multiplayer experience rank.i think the performance of the old COH in beta stage was abysmal too. On retail it was running just fine.
best COH2 quote and best video game quote ever goes to the German Elephant tank.
"Ready the 88, Aim, F@%King kill it !"
i fell out of my chair when i heard this.
Thought I would check out the Steam page out of curiosity. Wow, they really spared no effort in commercializing the hell out of this thing with the DLC...
