Community's opinion on map balance

Most of the maps seem to be balanced by spawning the defending team very far away from their capture points. You literally spawn about four grid marks away from your cap point and spend well over 20+ seconds running to your point and by the time you get there you're out of stamina. The other team usually has a very short walk with usually better protection and it's easier for them to over-run points.

Seriously, why can't we move up the spawns much closer? There should be more fire fights instead of running around and dying before you get to your defensive point.

Because defending is already that much easier. If both attacker and defender spawned exactly the same distance to the territory, attackers would get stomped so hard.

Hey, one of the most valuable things I can do as a machine gunner is to flank around the cap and cut off the enemy reinforcements running back to the objective. If you moved the caps closer I couldn't do that...

Commissar's House - 55/45 RU (without tanks), 80/20 GE (with tanks)
Apartments - 60/40 RU
Spartanovka - 55/45 RU (highly dependant on first cap)
Grain Elevator - 55/45 RU (if RU pushes Gate House)
Station - 80/20 GE (too much area to cover, easy for GE to flank via railyard)
Pavlov's House - 80/20 GE
Red Barracks - 55/45 GE
Fallen Fighters - 60/40 RU (very dependant on tanks)

Overall, maps feel more balanced since beta. Players are learning the maps and learning how to flank around choke points. German tanks are OP. Not enough people use smoke.
