They responded to me saying that both companies told me that it was the others' problem with this:

Hello Adam,

Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).

Delete all of the files in this folder except:

The \Steamapps\ folder and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo)

Restart your computer.

Then, launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.

With Steam running, re-test the original issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam:

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

I'll test it now.

That's a fix for people running KF on Windows. We've tried the equivalent of this for Mac and it doesn't work.

Hello Adam,

Please exit Steam and go to the folder Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam

Delete all of the files in this folder except for SteamApps.

Restart your computer.

Launch Steam and re-test the issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

Note: If you are using Lion please do the following to access your Steam folder:

1. Click "Go" in the menu bar
2. Click "Go to Folder..."
3. Type "~/Library/Application Support/Steam"
4. Click "Go"

This will take you directly to the folder.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam:

They sent me this after I said I was on a mac (it said MacOS Lion in the ticket though but whatever). Just tried this. Had to relog into steam with email code and still, same issue. DLC is shows as purchased in steam store, but in Killing Floor it is not shown as purchased and is not buyable in the trader. Yes they said to do this before, with less detail though and excluding the computer restart. Still no fix.

Wanting a refund isnt over the top. I paid for a product that I didn't receive, I don't understand why I shouldn't deserve my money back. Working on it or not, when you buy the DLC you get access to it immediately. It's been almost a week. "We're working on it" would have been suffice when I first noticed the problem.

That's like going to McDonald's and ordering some fries, after 20 minutes of nothing you ask where it is, and they say "we're working on it."

I never said we don't deserve a refund. I think it would just be over the top to exercise the right to get a refund; at this stage. My priority is getting the pack and playing the game, not worrying about the

Any TWI employee

Can anyone give us an update? Is this still Steam's problem? Is TWI investigating this or working with Valve to investigate it? Most of us have owned this DLC for over a week and not been able to use it. Please try to understand the level of frustration we are feeling at this point.

How are you able to run killing floor that you bought through steam for Mac through crossover?

When you purchase anything from Steam, you own the purchase receipt for it. That purchase is permanent to your account, so you can install any game you own on any computer so long as the platform supports the game. Killing Floor is for both Windows and Mac, so when you use a program such as CrossOver or Wine to emulate the Windows version of Steam you are able to play the Windows version of Killing Floor on a Mac.

Thanks for explaining that. I see Tripwire pushed out a Kf update, can anyone confirm that it fixes the weap dlc?

I can't test it since I uninstalled the Mac version, but if the fix doesn't work just get CrossOver. You can find a free version on YouTube (you can find anything on YouTube nowadays) and when you do install the Windows version you'll run into a mouse issue which can be solved by these steps:

Credit goes to ultramalakian for finding this

1. Go to the Programs menu in Crossover, then select Run Command.
2. Type 'regedit' (minus the quotes) into the command box, and make sure that Use Bottle has the appropriate bottle selected. Press enter or run.
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/AppDefaults/
4. With AppDefaults selected, click Edit->New Key. Type 'KillingFloor.exe' (again, without the quotes) and press enter. The key will appear under AppDefaults.
5. Now, with Killingfloor.exe selected in the tree, once again select Edit->New Key. Call the key DirectInput and press enter.
6. With DirectInput selected, go to Edit->New String Value. Name it 'MouseWarpOverride' (without quotes) and press enter. Now right click it, and select 'Modify.'
7. An Edit String box will appear with the value name 'MouseWarpOverride'. In the blank Value Data box, enter 'force_edge' (without quotes). Click ok.
8. With these changes, you can now exit the Registry Editor and close the Run Command dialog.

Thanks, I'll try this out although I'm still not accepting it as a permanent fix as I paid money for something I didn't get. "Run it through crossover" isn't a legit solution and I'm expecting to hear more from Tripwire.

nope, apparently, it just makes it posible to unlock last year's achievements in Bedlam.

I contacted Tripwire via twitter and all they said was "Contact Steam Support, this was fixed earlier this week."

This is some bull**** I want the product I paid for.

Bump.
I have this problem too. Steam Support doesn't know the solution for this problem.
We are investigating this issue further. As soon as we have more information, we will update your ticket.

Killing Floor on a Mac is really bugged. Sad but true.

Shame this has happened. After having 3 PC's in the same year kill themselves (I seem to have horrible luck with technology. My iPod wiped itself of 4000 songs last week), the iMac I was given seemed to be a good choice. All my Steam favourites for, and I've never played Killing Floor at such a high quality level.
One thing is really bugging me about the support tickets. I, like many others, was sent the 'We will contact you with further news' message, but I've just checked my tickets and that one is closed.
Anyone else?
