How comes that my ticket is being regularly answered, at least once a day?)

The last answer from Steam Suport (29th Oct 2012 12:26 pm) was:

We are investigating this issue further. As soon as we have more information, we will update your ticket.

I was told this was a steam issue, so I'd posted in the steam support forums (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=33170381).

Nice to see it's noticed here...but sad to see still no reply. I had sent a ticket to Steam support, after 4 days of silence they told me to reset cache, reinstall KF, etc which didn't work. They then told me to rename the SteamApps folder and reinstall KF. Trying this now, but my hopes aren't high.
I've tried everything mentioned so far. The DLC shows in KF > Properties > DLC (and also on my credit card and through purchased history in steam shop, etc) but it doesn't show in game, and clicking the buy (link to steamstore) button does nothing for the weapons pack. I am also on a Mac, running Lion. This whole issue has depressed me. Aside from maintaining my server I'm awaiting to play until it is resolved. The first purchase I make for DLC and this happens? Next time I'll think twice -_-

This is confirmed fixed for me now, but only in-game. When I first open Killing Floor it still says I haven't purchased the weapons DLC. However, in-game I can now buy them from the trader. I'd like to see the ad fixed as well, but for now I'm just glad to finally be shooting off flares.

I was wrong, this is NOT fixed. It looks like I was playing around on a custom map that had the DLC weapons unlocked? Not sure but I just tested on Hillbilly Horror and West London and the DLC weapons are still locked.

Put me back on the list of people who are increasingly frustrated.

Got this response, just tried it. Did not change anything...still DLC not showing up in game.
Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

Please try the following:

Exit Steam entirely.

Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files\Steam\)

Rename the "steamapps" folder to "old_steamapps"

Re-launch Steam and re-install the game.

Once the installation is complete, test the issue.

If this resolves the issue, you may copy the new files into the "old_steamapps" folder and rename it to "steamapps" to restore your other games without re-downloading.

If the issue is not resolved, you can rename the folder back to avoid having to re-install other games.

I'm still bothered :(
Glad this was 4 bucks, not 40, or I'd be really perturbed.

There was a flag that was not being set for OSX users that was fixed over the weekend.

If OSX users still have this problem they need to contact Steam Support. A general "fix all" that might clear it is for users to delete their clientregistry.blob file under the Steam directory and relaunch steam. This often forces Steam to fix issues that it did not catch during the normal start up process.

So are you guys gonna fix the problem for us soon? Kinda looks you have "fixed" it so that any Steam profile that has bought the DLC after the fix can now get it, but not for those who purchased it before... :confused:

If thats the case, I'll be expecting a free weapons DLC because I'm damn sure not buying it again.

OK well thanks for the official reply. At least we know you are hearing our complaints and attempting to fix it.

I haven't actually looked yet to see if its fixed for me but frankly I don't hold out much hope. I'll check it out soon though as at the moment I appear to be the only person not running 10.6 or above, as I'm still running 10.5.8.

Any one else on 10.5?

Also can any one confirm that they have bought the pack since the weekend and it works for them?

EDIT: I paid via paypal so I would have thought that they should accept a charge back regarding the fact I haven't received the goods I paid for? Idle thought really.

Whenever I delete the clientregistry.blob it keeps coming back so i must have deleted it at least twenty times.:mad:

It's normal for it to reappear. The idea is that you delete it once and then steam has to re-write the file and so hopefully that "corrects" errors that were possibly in that file.

Again it's one of the generic "catch all" responses. It's basically like saying "switch it off and on again". To be fair though it does work for some stuff some of the time.

Lets give them until the end of the event before saying they haven't fixed it. Don't get me wrong I'm pissed about not being able to use the weapons I paid for, but it helps a little to know that they're aware of the problem.

Just wanted to add that I've got the same issue. Not that anyone will be surprised that another mac user is getting shafted with the problem, I just figure maybe TW will take notice if enough people post...

I'm just glad I didn't pay actual money for the DLC. This is ridiculous, though - I paid for it, I own it, why can't I use it? And why is this glitch so hard to fix?

I'm not sure. If we were able to I'm guessing it would take Steam a "while" to give us our refunds, considering TWI may have already paid the creators of the DLC already

I doubt they have actually paid them anything yet and it could be months before the first money comes through for those guys. I have done enough freelance work to know that no one ever gets paid quickly. :rolleyes:

Anyway I believe that the sale contract is with Steam, and it's nothing to do with us what goes on else where. So if there was a refund situation then Steam would have to stump it up whatever is going on behind the scenes. I imagine that Steam have a processing time for refunds though.
I think that if you paid via paypal you could open a paypal dispute.
To add to that though I think getting a refund at this stage is a bit over the top. Sure I'm frustrated too but now we have something from Tripwire saying they are on it, I can be more patient. In the past it has been the total lack of communication that has really pissed me off, but we have that this time so lets give them a chance to get it right.

The normal problem is not the fixing it, it's the finding out why it's broken that takes the time. Clearly they thought they found it... and fixed it... but hadn't. :(

Wanting a refund isnt over the top. I paid for a product that I didn't receive, I don't understand why I shouldn't deserve my money back. Working on it or not, when you buy the DLC you get access to it immediately. It's been almost a week. "We're working on it" would have been suffice when I first noticed the problem.

That's like going to McDonald's and ordering some fries, after 20 minutes of nothing you ask where it is, and they say "we're working on it."
