Australian Bushranger Update - CTB Patch Notes 10/11/2017
Please note, the CTB ("Community Test Branch") of Rising Storm 2 is still in an Alpha state. That means that all the new content is still work-in-progress, not finished, and all subject to change. Thanks for your patience and we appreciate your help in testing and refining this exciting new content.
New Changes
Maps
Rung Sac:
Redesigned Australian side of objective B
Redesign area outside objective A (less "Forest" feeling now)
Prevented spawn camping for the VC at objective A/B
Removed tunnel volumes for the "sewer" style tunnels at objective E
Detail & cover pass throughout the map
Long Tan:
Slightly increased light levels and reduced fog on this map, which should result in improved visibility
Decreased defender spawn-to-objective distances at objectives B and C
Reduced brightness (apparent "viscosity") of rain effect
Added additional cover and foliage throughout the map, particularly to help defenders
Added dynamic lights at several objectives (e.g. B and C)
Reduced overall round timer to 30 minutes
Fixed missing wall collision for French bunker at objective C
Operation Forrest
Moved static spawn locations closer to objectives and adjusted point values
Detailing and cover pass, particularly focused on the objective points
Audio
New (still Work in Progress) audio passes for all three maps. New ambient sounds etc.
Gameplay
Canberra bomb damage radius has been embiggened (it should now be significantly more deadly)! And sound for explosions has been improved (read: louder)
L1A1 and L2A1 handling and usability has been greatly improved and revised. Several bugs fixed with L1 and L2 handling. Additionally, the L2 can no longer "overheat" like the belt-fed LMGs, and has the ability to use melee attacks.
Fixed Proximity 3D VoIP showing broadcasts on the UI even when the player was out of range of the user who was speaking.
Browning Hi-Power has new firing audio.
Adjusted character battle chatter so that characters will only speak pre-recorded lines when you are close to other teammates.
Increased impact damage for M79 projectiles.
Improved "sway recovery" when you're initially going into iron-sights with all guns.
Increased melee charge responsiveness, and sped up the ability to retry when you miss a melee swing.
Removed the Browning Hi-Power from the Australian Grenadier role.
