Hey, I know that the main focus is on the U.S. soldiers but could you include the Australians? Maybe on a long tan map? We did fight in that war as well.
If you do add them here are some suggestions for weapons.
L1A1 SLR (standard infantry rifle).
Owen gun (officers and higher ranks and roles like engineers and crewman).
Parker Hale M82 (standard sniper rifle).
Browning Hi Power (sidearm for all branches of the Australian army).
Etc.

More factions are always welcomed ! And Australia is a country rarely seen in video games! I'm all for the idea :)

Yep all for this. And just for accuracy, the Australians didn't wear helmets, but bush hats (like Boonie hats but smaller) and their webbing was a little different, especially early in the war. They didn't carry cigarette packets attached to their hats or clothing and didn't carry weapons on their shoulders on patrol (maybe on their way back into base areas after patrol).

Their Armoured units had the M113 APC with the glacis plate turret (not fully enclosed) - 1st Armoured Sqn, and they later had the Centurion tank (which was pretty much useless in a jungle environment.

Only forward scouts carried the M16A1, everyone else had an SLR, except for the machine gunner who carried an M60, and a browning high power 9mm pistol.

Their early air support was with old Bell 47 choppers (161 Recce Sqn) and Huey (Bell UH1D) operated by 9 Sqn RAAF.

If you need a voice actor for the Australian troops, consider an ex Australian soldier like me!
