Hello!

The trailer shows you that when a mortar or whatever explodes, there are dismembered bodies but uniforms are not dirty and helmets do not fall! WTF!

Watching some videos of the game it occurred to me that when there's some explosion or whatever clothes are damaged and soiled, such as when the body is dragged on the ground. It would also be good in some cases depending on the soldier to drop his helmet.

The dirty uniform character is allowed to go unnoticed with the environment, otherwise, to always have anit may be noticed that the character is always highlighted on the maps thus being a much easier target.

That would add a lot of realism to the game.

Thank you very much already and I hope you liked my proposal.

Sorry for my bad English.

A big hug!

EDIT:
In fact I expressed badly, it is true that it is so difficult for a helmet go flying through the air by a shock wave due to its weight, in fact I was referring more to the hats and berets...

*Thank you
MagicSnake for your correction! ;)

I think its a good idea, it can show how long a person has stayed alive by how dirty they are.

The level of experience of a player will factor into how worn their uniforms are.

The reason the uniforms look so clean in the screenshots is because they are from the alpha build of the game, so the devs are still adding more details to the models

As far as the helmet falling off... well I know that when someone pops a round in your dome, the helmet comes off:p. As for the helmet falling off in the middle of combat, it seems like a negligible detail.

Yes! That is a very good point.

And as I added in the last edition, when soiled the character would allow this "blend" better with the environment.

Thanks for commenting! :D

Helmets falling out in the middle of combat: I'd avoid for various reasons, but helmets going "rag-doll" (so to speak) when you explode in a mist of blood and limbs from an artillery shell: would be a nice detail.

Clothes getting dirty: maybe... say, when you crawl in the mud or when you happen to walk through a thick cloud of dust from an artillery shell. Again, would be a nice detail.

Good post. +1

EDIT:
As for your english... since I have nothing better to do (it really isn't that bad, and I really am bored):

The Germans and the Russians typically kept their chinstrap under their chin, unlike the Americans and British, which didn't really enforce keeping them secure. I don't really see a need for a bunch of helmets flying off, unless like stated, it was when a player blew up into a red mist.

Why didn't the Americans and British enforce chin straps? Did they purposely want their men to look cooler?

Well, I don't know for sure if this was the reason the British and Americans didn't enforce them, but when helmets absorb the impact from shrapnel (or the rare bullet deflection), the momentum of the impact is transferred to the helmet. If the soldier had his chin strap on, then his head would get whipped back from the force (possibly causing injury), but if the strap wasn't fastened, then the helmet would just get knocked off his head

that also doesn't happen. shockwaves do not act like magical gusts of wind. and hats don't sit precariously on the dome of the head.
