Anyone else get a feeling we might a get a TF2 type treatment here, with updates specifically aimed at different classes? I mean with the Heavy Metal update we're seeing a commando and melee weapon... so it makes sense for them to continue giving the other classes some alternative weaponry too.

Also with the Horzine soldier skin, they could maybe expand on that with some Horzine experimental weaponry.

It maybe not the case. Comando has been an underdog for, like, the beginning of KL, so now they gonna get some more fire power, it's just fair-play.

very true. its one of the hardest perks to complete, and we just have the bullpup, so this AK is a welcome addition.

Bullpup is excellent to take out crawlers, stalkers, bloats and clots.

Once you rank up commando it is also a decent gun to take down sirens with.

It is probably the best gun to decapitate flehspounds with.

Only thing this gun struggle with are scrake (and for this reason i carry a chainsaw at later waves).

I normaly switch to sharpshooter and crossbow for patriarch, but bullpup is an excellent gun to "trace" the patriarch so others know where to aim during his stealth phase.

Guess we can use AK47 for scrake (And for nuking flehspounds and Patriarch) after the patch. Just hope it will stun scrake at melee and gorefasts at range (like handcannons does for sharpshooters).

I see, some good points. I haven't really played commando much but I might have to try out some of those tactics.

Still the idea of other classes getting alternative weaponry is appealing, no?

Indeed. Yet I'm quite delighted with any updates that are coming, and looking forward for more in the future :).

once you get to at least level3 and then level4 the bullpup can really kick some butt. 1 or 2 shots to kill pretty much everything except scrakes, fp, and patty.

i like the flamethrower still for tracing the patriarch....fire is nice and bright

Even though im lvl 5 sharpshooter, i still run around with a pup because i find it to do more dmg head shot wise. I do carry of course the dual cannons too.

I hope to see more weapons so i can own the heads of all zombies even with the LAW

Personally I'm a zerker and I still carry the pup because I need something to mass-murderate crawlers/sirens with :D Fortunately I've gotten my commando perk to lvl 3 just by shooting crawlers/sirens/ the occasional stalker when I'm not chainsawing everything else to pieces so I'll try out the AK.

So I just started using the Bullpup and t's pretty cool once you get used to it, with a pair of dual handcannons for the tougher enemies. I did notice I decapitated a hell of a lot more fleshpounds with it too.

I can definitely see more class specific weaponry. I have a feeling the Firebug will be seeing some love next. His primary is a great weapon but he's kind of a one trick pony and that thing sure eats up the ammo.

I welcome the AK47 because I know the game won't always be so headshot-happy as it is now. As it stands the only monster who gives me grief is the Scrake. Everything else I can lob their heads off.

However, I can see in the future the Felshpound getting a bit more resistant to such a tactic, and perhaps we'll see new monsters who can take a beating like the Scrake.

Also, I definitely agree the bullpup has no stopping power. The AK47 will be great when you turn around and realize 5-6 Gorefasts and a Siren decided to spawn behind you

Pump shotty for backup here.

Everyone's assuming the AK will weigh 8, yes?
But isn't shotgun 8 as well, giving you only 6kg left (unless you go support, but in that case shotgun would be your main and AK your backup...)

It's "happen", and in past tense, "happened".
Bullpup is 6 block, and yeah, carrying both of'em will be very cool, just the the ol'lovely Support with both shotgun and a dual handcannon :)

Now that this update is coming out there's gonna be like over nine thousand commandos around, which pisses me off seeing as I always play commando and now aload of n00bs who wanna use the AK will take my job and do it ****tily :mad: at least we a have 2 class weapons so that they won't all turn into commando freaks
