Im not exactly sure how does the KF virus works, but my understanding is that even if they are clones there still is some kind of mutant virus involved.
So why not make it contagious?

What I would like to see is undead civilian zombies, they would basically be clots, but with different skins to make them look like regular old shool zombies.
Maybe modify one of the current character designs too and zombify them.

Any thoughts?

They aren't zombies.
There isn't a virus.
They are mutants that were originally made to replicate kevin's son and wife, but evolved beyond that through experiments. The army made him take it further at one point resulting in the rest.

Link, now.

Their addiction to pain comes from them exploring their own bodies with their weapons.

Notes; This is from the old mod version of Killing Floor, from time when Partriach wasn't even introduced. So you should assume the said Clalemey as CEO is someone else now or our beloved Patriach is the CEO and Mad Scientist at the same time.

Also notice that the old story is about viral zombies then clone armies, but that doesn't mean C-24 and clone armies cannot co-exist. I'm guessing currently C-24 and P-77 are still revelant to new storyline with C-24 not turning people into zombies but key ingredient in Clones. And P-77 may well still be the reason the protestors trying to break into the Horzine offices in new offical fluff. Or it may not.

Emphasis (and quote is from my thread already) is mine.

Even though it might not be from the storyline - non-aggressive civilian zombies would definitely add to the horror feel of this game.

The civilian zombies would become aggressive only when shot at.

OMG a civilian FleshPound with his little torn business suit on XD with a little 1950s hat to go with it XD now that would be funny and epic but civilians for this game doesnt really work sense your not progressing threw the areas your just staying in 1 area (meaning this 1 game mode isnt a story line it is a mini survival)

Lore in a low budget 1st person shooter? Come on, man. This is just mindless fun, a way to kill a couple hours a week. Lore? Really?

Yes there really is lore. There is a point to everything that happens in this game. Just because you want to turn a blind eye to it and just have whatever you want added to it, doesn't mean the creators or players that care about lore wish to do the same.
