Character shouting in game, please let us have the option to make our character mute?

I was wondering what the Voice Message frequency option in the audio menu affects.

Seems to pertain to this feature, but does it only limit what you hear, or what you call out?

Canned voices are ridiculous.

Not only does it take away from a player's ability to communicate, it is repetitive, slightly juvenile in delivery, and destroys any advantage a team may have because they communicate better.

Hey, the arcade games have it, it can't be that bad, right? Which arcade game you ask? You know...the one that came out and is already forgotten.

Gimicks that make people buy games rarely stand the test of time. The canned voices is another example.
