Character DLC: Female avatars and new voices

I know both the desire for Female Avatars and additional voices (both male and female) is oft-discussed, but this thread is devoted to the idea of making them DLC-only.

I agree that it makes little sense to add either as free content, but the argument over whether it's worthwhile for TWI seems to drown out any notion of offering it as DLC. It would be worthwhile for them then, and those that don't partake could still see/hear those that do.

If all you have to say is "it's been discussed before" then you're better off just letting the thread idle than bumping it.
For the record, I'm indifferent to female avatars but I would at least like more male voices to go with the new skins.

DLC for sure, would give TWI a reason to invest the time and effort.

Course if it is done me and my 2 sisters will be buying it right off the bat.

I believe that enriching depth in the small parts of the game such as voice is a much needed addition and i would gladly pay for it . Creates a depth in variation and is very important to the user experience. I vote yes & yes to dlc female characters & more male characters though id like a check box in character select screen to choose male or female version of any character skin we already have.

this was never done in the unreal tournament games aside from the latest ut3.. & wasnt needed because of the mass of available characters to select from. In the case of kf , with so little to choose from at the moment i think it would be a good integration. 1 yes vote from me

All i know is that this game needs some estrogen in some form or another. DLC or not.

I don't care, because while it would be nice to have a bit more variety in the voices and models, it really would not impact gameplay in any way.

I was holding off on voting no and reading the thread first, then found this post and gave in to confirmation bias.

(though speaking of DLC it would be nice to have a full voicepack for the alternate character voice used for Wilkes and Thorne...)

Distaff Scully and Thorne (EDIT: HOW COULD I FORGET FOSTER) would be awesome. (but in this case I'd definitely say DLC as something way too oddball to be a default option)

I can see this being a lot of work (and money), so I think it'd have to be DLC, thinking realistically.

From all the comments on the forums and the "Nob off you tosspot"spam on the pubs, I think it would fall behind the trader replacement.

What if all specimens equal the trader?

You can then avenge all your past sorrows by decapping her 112 times!

And then replace the Trader with Shawn Connery (and not the naked zombie version from 'Samurai Zombie Nation'), and you have our most popular DLC ever

i like killing floor, but we have there at the moment 16 male player models. why is there no female player model. i don't like games with men positive discrimination.

so for your next DLC / Patch i want so see minimum 1 female player model

or give me a good reason for only men-world^^

not most requested...but it is discrimination! and the most threads about this topic was closed by the admins... this is not very nice.

well, there were too many repeat threads, so the mods shut all new ones down.

Plus, these things tend to get ugly; flame wars abound in such threads.

I do agree though; it would make economic sense to add it as DLC, as it seems to be universally popular. The devs, meanwhile, have said something about difficulties involving animations/models/other coding stuff so I would just wait.

However, while you wait, you can replace one of your existing chars with a community-made female char if you want. Modders have made it possible (and I don't see why TWI can't just do what they did, but I wouldn't know)
