CD Key Problem

I finally received Red Orchestra in the mail. I bought it used on ebay(I was low on cash at the time) and when I tried to register it with Steam, it said that the CD key was a duplicate and it was used by another Steam member. What should I do?

The person you purchased it from probably registered the key with his account. You can contact steam support with proof that the key is now yours and ask them to set it to you. However they might charge a 10 dollar transfer fee, I am not completly up to date on the policy over at steam.

Pictures of your box and manual with the key on it. And maybe putting your monitor on thesame picture with the email youre writing to steam.

I finally have an answer from Steam.

I will just have to buy RO again.

I'd strongly suggest you don't use their account. More than likely, if the seller is shady, they will contact Steam support, say their account was stolen. Steam support will then return his account to him, and potentially disable your legit account in the process.

Don't tread on those waters.
