[Error] Can't transmit voice in RO2, but mic works in steam

My issue is as simple as in this thread's title... I use my mic in other steam games and steam chat, but can't transmit in RO2.

I use the on-board sound card, and don't have any sound input troubles with any other programs.

I have tried both voice-activation and push to talk.

Any suggestions?

check the ingame mic control binds .. i think default is caps lock but try an change ur binds and use the game buttons to broadcast

Check the volume at which your voice volume is set, in the microphone options in Audio.

The exact same thing happened to me, and when I checked my mic's ingame volume was, by default, at 0.

Thanks for the suggestions. Previously, clicking the "configure microphone" button (or whatever it's called) has done nothing, I'll have another look.

Never been able to even open the Mic options menu.
I'm using my mic in TS3 though, so I know it is working.

I turned on "steam community in game" (in steam settings), which enabled the "configure microphone" button to bring up the dialog.

I have also changed the keys assigned to voice chat. I can see the meter but have yet to test it. It should be OK now, thanks for the input.

I was under the impression that since RO2 uses steam's voice settings, it would also use it's transmit key, but this isn't the case.
