OK, so I opened the right ports for both Killing Floor and Steam but everytime I join a server (I can connect just fine) it won't stay connected for more than 15 seconds.

The connection just seems to hang....

This is driving me mad!
Never have I seen such a game with so many connection issues, I mean come on!
I'm so glad I didn't pay

Hey.
I am experiencing the same, but there were one server last night that worked. All the others disconnected me pretty much right away.
When player can't get connection to the server and people, props and monsters just run straight into the walls and keeps doing so.

Great game nevertheless!

yep

yep

same here
I could play online with earlier versions fine, this is a recent problem for me
There's like a minimal chance that the server will work, its not ALWAYS failing, just 99% of the time, it seems.
also
I can host a game fine, or connect to my friends game when he's hosting
Getting a bit fed up with this cause I love this game and now I have to play it solo most the time...

*sigh*

There seems to be at least a dozen threads about this very same issue now.

Please, people, when posting about tehcnical problems, please use the "search" function to see if there aren't similar topics already.

Could a mod create a sticky about this issue?

We're sorry black_feather, but the fact remains that this isn't an issue on our end and there may or may not be anything that we can do about it, at all. We have tried modifying our game to no avail, but we do have a slight insight that may be able to fix this issue. We will be looking into it again in the future, but for now, we simply request that everyone discuss this issue with their router manufacturer, as we may find out there's nothing we can do.
