Cant send private messages to anyone

Hi all im new. Why cant i send private messages to anyone on the forums? whenever i type in something, and send it, nothing ever pops out in the inbox or even 'sent items'. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem but receivers said, that they have my messages. weird thing...

You have to check the box that says "save a copy of this message in your sent items folder"
I mean, it'll send no matter what. But it can be confusing when it doesn't give you any feedback.
