Can't level up?

I was about to lvl my MG to the veteran level (4). But when it lvled up I went back to lvl 2(battle hardened)??

But my profile says this:

4330/4134 xp???

Well, well. Never knew you need honor to lvl up

But why does it lower my level? :/
