Cannot connect to ANY servers

So, I bought this game yesterday, and here's the deal with me:

-It worked perfectly at first. I could connect instantly to any server and join a game with minimal lag.

-A few hours later I boot up the game and find that I cannot connect to any server whatsoever anymore and get stuck on the "Connecting (F10 Cancels)" screen for approximately 3 minutes before getting a "Connection Failed" message. This problem continues to persist today.

I seriously doubt it's my routers since it worked perfectly fine earlier yesterday. Why is it I cannot connect to any servers now?

Another problem I have is: The game crashes sometimes in single player.

Also, I'm not very tech savvy, so can anyone point me to the solution to this problem.

There's some serious issue going on since the last patch came out, still waiting to hear anything.

Well, the server list also loads fine on mine as well. It's just the fact that I all of a sudden can't JOIN any of the servers.

You can try deleting the KF system folder (by default in c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor - then either verify your game cache or launch the game and Steam will re-download the missing files. You will have to re-do any settings you've changed. If you've got a firewall make sure that KF is allowed through it. As for the crashing you'll have to post the error message you get.

I'm having the same issue. I've added KF to the firewall exceptions and done the port thing, but can only occasionally get onto a server.

I've tried just about everything now. I still have the same problem. =/

The only way I can connect to a server is if I join a friend's game in progress. And even then I get lag, sometimes heavy.

I forwarded all my ports for KF and even disabled my firewall.

I was able to connect to a single game of KF floor, and when I left the server and tried to join another, the problem RETURNED.

It's clearly not an issue with my firewall, so what is wrong with the game? I even deleted it and reinstalled it as well as verified the game files several times. What gives?!

Still looking for a solution to this. =/ This is ridiculous.

I really enjoy playing this game, but there's no sense in it having all these glitches and connection issues. It needs more tech support.

Sounds like your router is the problem, see this thread.

If the problem is you can connect to some but not all then i have found a temporary fix, if you are stuck at the (press f10 to cancel) screen then cancel and find that server again when the list refreshes and join it again. Works for me 9 times out of 10. I know its annoying to have to connect/disconnect and then reconnect (especially as you cant use the reconnect command in the console because you technically never connected in the first place) as you have to find the server in the list again but it should work.
