I don't get all this qq. He's limiting himself to a tight corridor. He's reckless because he can respawn. What do you expect this guy to do? Just sit and wait for someone to get into his vision?

He should run real slow and be unable to get his sights up in a timely manner so I, just sitting and waiting for someone to get into my vision, could nail him.

I don't see the problem, you could play the same way in RO:CA and RO:Ostfront, i did (not as good though). I personally prefer to shoot from the hip at those distances, also did in the prequels, it was a lot harder with the PPSh in Ostfront.

Using the PPSh now is really easy compared to the Ostfront one, MP40 has become a tad easier to use and the difference between Stg44 and Mkb is noticeable but really small.

Talking about Close Combat only :)

Maybe I just play on good realism servers but... I don't generally run into stuff like this with people running and gunning madly. I normally get the people doing it pretty easily too if they're trying.

Same, actually in 20 hours + I didn't see any go like that and I bet I'd have shot him easily. To tell you what, game really needs some more downs like if you run and stop you're innacuarate for a bit and so on.

RO1 favoured skill and positioning. If you can pull off a hip shot with a bolt then good for you. If you miss your one shot then you would get mowed down by any smger. The smger could still kill you as fast you could bolt him if he aimed well and reacted fast enough.

Now its much more about aiming with iron sights, without as much knowledge of the game required or experience. Not much recoil, spread, dip or sway (gun control is easier) don't really need to think about what you're doing as much as its more forgiving.

As I said I don't want to hate on RO2 though, its just a different game.

Remember as well, people are very wary of developers that "dumb down" their games. It happens in nearly every successful series. First you get the quality game that sells through word of mouth. Then you get hype based off the first game and maybe slightly easier gameplay to accommodate a more mainstream potential, then you get it snowballing as it gets more and more mainstream interest.

DOD, CS, Team Fortress, BF series (I enjoyed 1942 a lot, bolt action rifles, some recoil etc), CoD etc. They don't all turn into bad games, but often they will lose their initial appeal that got them recognition in the first place and end up selling based on their name alone. Not saying RO mod/Ostfront -> RO2 is the same, but people are very wary of this especially when there is some simplification going on already

Hm, I was not just aiming at you post as with your posts I am in a agree to disagree with mindset but TBH most of the death I got from were not due to skill but rather down to 3 things:
1) Being the only person capping the map because everyone wanted to a Herp Derp sniper.
2) 'nade spamming was a MAJOR killer in Ostfront as grenades were just blowing up everywhere, not requiring an ounce of skill.
3) Bolts being too good, one thing that made Ostfront unique was the free aim when not using sight which in theory made hip shooting impossible but there was a engine bug that effected hip shooting. When you come out of sprinting your gun is ALWAYS pointed dead centre allowing perfect hip shots at any range, what this meant was that if unless a SMG ambushed you could just press sprint in his direction for a second and then press fire getting a perfect shot. This is the reason why many choose bolts over semis as bolts could work like the hated slug shotguns in BC2...

Okay I can accept that you needed different different skills in RO1 but its hardly more skillful than RO2...

I play like that and it usually results in a ban or someone on your own team that's a member of the clan who's server you're on starting to grief you. That's usually about the time I TK everyone in sight and then disconnect just out of reach of the ban hammer.

I have streaks like that all the time except with a rifle. ;)

I got like 95 kills on apartments with a PPSH the other day. Some very angry realism douche's in that server.

Nothing it this video couldn't have been done with an MP40 or PPSH. I mean really, 90% of the guys he shot weren't even paying attention to him.

Learn to play. I'm constantly in the top3 on my team, at least in kills, and I almost never use the MkB unless I need to pick one up off the ground. Bolt action rifles and MGs r supreme once you actually learn how to shoot.

yes, easily, on a regular basis. That guy sucks.

No corner checking, shooting at team mates, sprinting around corners, reloading with over 70% mag, proning near doorways.

The only reason he gets a decent score at all is that he's using an overpowered weapon of death.

yeah, i can believe it. no tolerance for individuality.. you must conform to MY playing style!
If you are playing on a server they pay for, then they can set the house rules to whatever they want (in accordance to the ToS). Accept them or choose another server or hand out some cash to rent/setup your own one.
If I see some rules stated at the welcome screen I don

I think so...

I think so...

If I can do this from the hip with the DP-28 while descending a set of stairs, then I think what that guy did is actually pretty easy to do if you use the weapon designed specifically to do that sort of thing.

After I head shot this guy, I chest shot another guy coming up behind him, but got myself killed by a third while trying to take the screenshots.

So clueless. Sorry but if you can get any scrubby noob to play like that in RO:O then fine, but I doubt it. He's hip firing with bolts and SMG's for the most part, aiming by judging the angle of the weapon without instant iron sights, plus the guns have recoil. You also have bullet dip for sniping or longer range shots

Hipfire is way harder in RO2 thanks to freeaim that works properly. And are you saying you don't have bullet trajectory in RO2? Because it does.

The guy in video ran up on a rail, jump off about 7 ft distance and killed someone the moment he fell down with a pistol. Or he just hipfires bolt action rifles at people across the street.

You get a scrubby noob to play like that in RO2 against average players, then show us.
