Can there be a minimap or something to help you find the others?

first:
theres almost no chance to get surrounded if you take out your knife and kite the first clump of zeds around until you found your team. bedlam has some excellent kiting routes that let you pass a lot of ammo/item spawns and grant you several possibilities of alternate routes to avoid getting trapped.

second:
why do people complain about bedlam being so difficult and annoying? learn the map and you will see that in 99% of the games people will be in the L-corridor at the very start of the map or in the courtyard on the upper floor in one corner. theres already tons of whine-threads complaining about getting lost in "such a huge map with so many corridors and corners" etc.

Behind You!
Minimaps and alike have been suggested many times before and the answer has always been the same: knowing where your team is at all times takes away some of the "survival horror" atmosphere and therefor people dont really want it implemented.

MINIMAP? No! Never, I hope.
1st - this is strictly coop game - so You are required to stay with Your team
2nd - You don't f... around at trader, You don't look at her, You buy stuff, and You run like hell to safe place
3rd - Bedlam is not confusing/big map, unless You play it for the first time.

Learning the map + good communication = all that you need. And don't shop too long. I hate when player spend whole minute looking at weapons images, deciding which one looks the best with his skin model.

Aww come on just because its the end of the world doesn't mean you can't look good. :D

Couldn't agree more. Sadly, I have this awful compulsion to hang around and wait for the one slow shopper to get unceremoniously ejected from the trader so that he/she isn't totally alone. Though I have no children, it must be some sort of maternal instinct. However, as they say, no good deed goes unpunished; often, we then both take a beating.

I have found that on a wide-open, outdoors map, like KF-Farm, the M-79/M-32 can be employed as sort of a "Look! We're over here!" type of flare-gun. That has proven handy...

howabout a map plus compass, hit O to bring up the map, memorize an area u want to go to, then use your compass to find your way through.

this was all in RO, and is probably in the roengine/classes coding in kf, so shouldnt be too hard to pull up and implement, its just that you would then have to put an overhead map image in all the kf maps (the image has to be speific to each map).

Ok overlord....Let me put this straight

Learn the maps, all of them. Be quick 10 or less in the trader. Know where to go after the trader. If you die, learn how to not get screwed by not having good weapons. Also I agree about the morons part, but you forgot another category, people who think we need more help with the game like you. Learn to play it how it is, and don't be a tard. Best advice, If you want to learn a bit more about game play strategies and pick up a few tricks, drop me a line. I'm always game for drilling that killer instinct into people.

Conclusion: It's not people who should learn maps, if it repeatedly is a problem, solve it! It's like putting a bucket above doors every day so if you open SPLASH it hits you! The solve isn't to learn to find way to remove bucket every single time, but to not put the bucket there at all!
