Can my laptop run this?

I've tried running RO on my n10 notebook and I get really low fps. I've read that if you switch d3d modes from 9.0 then it would work better but it didn't for me. It has a geforce 9300m but also the 1.6 atom cpu. Is there anything I can do, any tricks, or should I forget about trying to get it to run?

I'd like to play killing floor too so if I figure if I can run one, I can run the other.

try putting sound to use low quality settings.
disable shadows & decals & ragdoll physics
Turn off the feature called "reduce mouselag"
make sure that tripple buffering is off.

If you make those changes to ro check again if it runs ok enough, if it does you can try killingfloor. If you cant get ro to run ok killingfloor will probably be equally bad. Your videocard is fine for ro, but the processor is having a hard time.
