Hey guys i bought RO 2 days ago, and im new to it. I wonder if i can play the game on my computer witn normal grapich settings. I mean i dont want to have bad graphics.

I have:
RAM 512
Graphic card: nVidia Geforce 4400 TI
2.0 GHZ

Also the loadingtimes are very long to like 3-4 minutes sometimes. I will try to fix them, i have seen some sugdestions on that issue on the forum.

Hey and also one more thing, why do i get like 45 servers on the browsing, when there are like 100

Your main problem is your CPU. You'll find that you can turn up the graphics to at least medium, maybe even high, before you'll see your framerate go down (further). However no matter how low you put them, you won't get a playable framerate! The only thing that can give you a few frames by reducing the work your CPU has to do is to reduce the sound-detail and to reduce the physics detail.
You won't get more than an average of 20 frames per second and on most maps it might actually be even worse.

More ram won't help either. It will reduce the load times but it won't really help your framerate. Only marginally, if at all.

Your graphics card, as old as it is, should be up for the job. Just make sure to disable AA and AF and to use a low enough resolution like 1024*768*32 and you should be able to set the detail level at least up to medium.

I know this post isn't what you've hoped to read, but it's the bitter truth.

Hm. That's true. I just assumed it was a P4 with 2GHz because of the GeForce 4 and the 512MBRam. Also when I am referring to my Athlon 3000+ I tend to say my CPU is 3GHz fast and not 1.6GHz. Maybe that's just me.

Marketing-speak got the better of you it seems.
Well back in the days a game's requirements were given in P4 Hz and an Athlon 3000+ is supposed to be as fast as a P4 3GHz. That's what the number behind the 'Athlon' was for. I could say I am running a 1.6GHz cpu because that's what it technically is, but what does that say about how well it runs a certain game? Nothing, but THAT's what I care about. I couldn't care less about the actual number of cpu cycles.

Take RO's system requirements for example: The recommended cpu speed is 2.0 GHz. Does that mean I don't meet the requirements? Seems strange, because I can run the game with everything maxed out (minus AA and AF but those are gfx card related anyway).

Nowadays it often states different speeds for different types of processors and with dual and quad cores around this is all different again. So I admit I am problably wrong. It made sense back in the days and I haven't adjusted yet. I just figured that there is a possibility that others did or do the same, which is why I assumed he was talking about P4 2.0 GHz, even if he maybe technically had an Athlon 2000+ with only 1.33GHz or something.

The rest of his specs just smelled like p4 2GHz speed anyway. You don't put a GeForce 4 and 512MBRam into a PC with a cpu with, say, 4GHz "pentium 4 speed equivalent".
