Can’t grow into an elder

Got to level 22 and still am an adult. Restarted the game, fast traveled to all unlocked grottos and nothing. It happened to my friend, too.

I am not 100% sure of this but I do think you have to have certain quests completed and a certain bounty level as well to progress some of that.

I felt like my Elder and Mega status were delayed because I unlocked all locations prior to pushing along story quests and increasing bounty level.

You don't need to defeat Pete to become an elder, you can max out the shark to Mega before fighting Pete...

Actually, to grow from adult to elder, you need to confront Pete the second time (not the final fight; this is like 66% into the main story). Once this confrontation is done, you can grow up to mega.

Interestingly I had this same issue. lvl 30 adult shark, told to fight Pete, nowhere to be found. I had skipped a bunch of quests in various areas as they seemed infantile. It appears that only some quests show up, and once completing them, they open up or unlock others. So in other words, you can go do area 5 quests until they are done, but unless you've done ALL area 2 quests, some quests in area 3 won't show up, which means some in area 4 won't, and so forth.

For me, as soon as I went back and did all the missing quests in the second area, more appeared in the third etc. When I fought Pete, I instantly leveled to mega, skipping elder altogether.

I try not to fast travel. it was one of the causes of the tiger shark skin bugging out (for me any way).

For teen, adult and mega the player just needs to reach the appropriate level and then return to a grotto to evolve. There is a special requirement for elder however.

In addition to being level 20, the player also has to defeat Scaly Pete at the end of Episode 5. Depending on how quickly the player leveled up their experience will be different. If the player already defeated Pete and then got to level 20 the transition is seamless. If you got to level 20 before fighting Pete you'll receive the warning indicating you must first fight Pete.

I'm having the same problem. I'm at level 23 and still the Pete Mission isn't showing up.

My game crashed during the cutscene where you rip of Pete's arm. Now I can't progress storywise...

The quest has been completed, I'm lvl 30, All other quests are done, All landmarks discovered, all license plates etc.

How to fix this bug??

Just an update I"m now a meg and have beat the story. Now i'm looking for all the landmarks. I only like one more landmark,one bounty hunter and several license plates and cashes.
