I really like this game but I want to love it even more. Most of the games I've played during the beta have had little to no teamwork, or at least it seems that way to me because there is no voice chat going on, and so it ends up being a bunch of individuals going for kills. It seems like there are usually only a few people on each team that actually know whats going on but the rest are just noob cannon fodder blindly running around towards objectives getting gunned down (myself being one of said noobs). Sometimes I check the squad screen and there are no squad leaders or a commander on my team  lol just a bunch of Assaults and Riflemen (territories mode).

Usually when I do manage to make it to an objective and attempt to cap it, there are usually only 1 or 2 players from each team actually trying to do so as well despite the server being full with 64 players.

And so my request of all the RO veterans out there playing the beta:

All you pro RO veterans need to get a mic and start shouting out orders to us noobies in the beta! :D

I am ready to be sent to my death by competant Commanders and Squad Leaders!!!!

Spoilers: It's just like RO1 right now, except with less pointless chatter over the mic.

+ rep Wished all the new guys thought like you do I wouldn't call you a noob even tho you may be new to the game sounds like you have a good grasp on the idea of territory. It can be very frustrating being one of 3 guys actually defending or attacking objectives.Just be patient sometimes you just get on a bad team and a word from god couldn't get them into the cap.

After the new wears off and the more dedicated players remain the teamwork will be alot better. The one thing I love about the RO community is the players seem more mature and serious about their game.Atm you cant really call it a community its more like a madhouse of people playing rambo lol.

After years in ro1 I could take a month break come back and it was like all the same guys was there. And for the most part we knew what to expect out of each other and teamwork was almost 2nd nature. While I have a mic about the only advice I give a team is "get in the cap people!!" being mainly a rifleman I rarely play SL.

Like I said just be patient keep playing smart trying to be in the right place at the right time.Skill with the guns will come in time but being in and around the caps will give you an edge(helping your team) not to mention bonus points for being there ;)

I say this alot "Id rather have a guy with 2 kills in the cap than some guy with 20 that's camping near the spawn"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. true ****ing story mate.

RO tactics have always been, in public servers at least, one old drunk american screaming at everyone to get into the capzone.

LOL i laughed so hard i nearly fell off my chair!!

It reminds of that guy named Panikhakal or something like that, always shouting orders and whatnot over mic :D

Game isn't even 'out' yet, so I expect pub cooperation will get worse before it gets better. But it will get much better I'm sure -- just be patient and set a good example. You could always join one of the many fine clans around for some real coordination.

Have fun!

I'd like to get more clear indications when orders are given. I for instance mark an enemy inf when I one. But I'm not sure if anyone can do something with it. I rarely see marked enemies... mostly on the map and I don't want to look on the map all the time.
Sometimes I yell for reinforcements but don't know if anybody notices.

Also I don't know when my SL gives me any orders. It's all not very clear...

I use my mic and generally the only things you'll hear me say is "we need more people at X" and even then I get no ****ing help whatsoever. It also doesn't help that about 99.5% of other players aren't using voice coms.

But then even in RO1, you'll rarely find a pub server with people using VOIP, sure there were more than we currently have in RO2, but still not a lot.

That being said, when I was living in the former Yugoslavia a ton of the Russian servers had people using VOIP non stop. Just I had no idea what they were saying.

Well, I didn't receive a god damn beta key, and all thanks to my RO being on other steam account, which's freaking password I can't remember NOR can I retrieve it. I do have the freaking key though, but whats the use? Steam sucks so badly.

Otherwise, I'd show you a real commandant.

I am a ROost vet but i hate to use the voip. In ROost i also
didn`t use it. And i switched the voip sound off.

With this sound on you don`t hear the enemy etc anymore.

But all is going about situational awarness.

We are very alike in this respect, I used to turn it off like you do because some of the voices were just surreal and incredibly annoying. However, I now have it on but turned down fairly low, so I don't miss important warnings, changes in focus e.t.c :)

The ability to mute certain individuals who think constant waffle is going to help their team would be a godsend!

The thing is,

You get a half decent side with a good command, and you communicate, and your commander/SL relay in Co-ordinates for Arty after a Captured point. The effects are devistating and you can win it. I have played some fantastic matches going down to 1 vs 1 and bayonets. This is essentially what brings us back to gaming. On the edge of your seat games...

Keep the game play up and I will be enjoying it

I'm pretty sure the 3 guys that you see at the bottom of the screen don't actually means there is only 3 guys from your team or the enemy at the objective.

Yeah, that represents the ratio of soldiers from either team. In a 24 player map, one soldier could be on the point and it would be represented as three soldiers while on a 64 player map 10 soldiers could be in the cap zone and it would be represented at 2.
