You gotta love it when they pull a stunt like this, it's so unbelivably douchy..

It seems common enough. BC2 released a patch about a week before BC2Vietnam came out, it was some 1.5ish Gigs, the patch WAS BC2 vietnam, thats why when you buy it and go to play it you dont have to download anything, its already on your computer.

Well making you pay for a part of the game you already have and own is douchy(cough mafia 2), releasing most of the game in an earlier patch so your servers dont choke and die is just forethought.

I don't know if it's the elitist in me or what, but this game is so ****ing boring for me. I go over to a friend's house and we play for 10 minutes, I'm doing OK but there's literally no challenge. It's not even a bad game, it's just that it's so sleep inducing for me. I've never felt this amount of boredom from a game before.
Usually I don't like console shooters like resistance or killzone(halo being the lone exception), but I've never gotten bored of a shooter this quickly before.

Nothing to do with the unrealisticness either, as I find MoH and BF(again, at afriends house as I would never pay for this trash) at least playable, and "arcadey" games like CS, TF, halo, and the original UTs fun

beside the awful gameplay, inaccuracies, and overproduction, the funniest thing to me has to be the fact that all of the call of duty games...literally all of them...have never had realistic anatomical proportions. seriously. go do a head to body ratio measurement. weirdest thing i've ever seen. it's almost like a signature of the franchise.

True, although it was worse in CoD1+2

here to kill your monster
i played it on xbox round my 12 yr old nephew's and was completely underwhelmed - nothing to do with realism things - just found it totally un-inspiring.

funny thing is, so does he tbh - he likes the single player of the cod games but finds the mp boring - as it's the same thing over and over.
As his choice of games was limited mostly to the cod series he was saying how he wasn't playing the xbox so much and was spending more time reading books and going out with freinds.

So phaps the formulaic repetitive nature of cod mp is a good thing, if it's getting some kids to go out and do other things instead.

Actually, that's a pretty good point - maybe Activision isn't all that horrible after all! =D

I've played quite a bit of Blops now and realised how boring it is. This is possibly because of over saturation of COD games but mostly because of poor level design amongst other things.

If you've played COD since the beginning have a think of your top 5 or 10 COD maps and see how many COD4, MW2 or Blops maps make the list in comparison to the number of vCOD, UO and COD2 maps. The level design has got worse as the series has progressed. There isn't one good map in Blops, some are average and the rest are terrible.

Yeah, I got bored with Blops faster than any CoD before it. I dunno what it is. Guess I'm pretty done with the franchise. Had fun with it first few weeks, after they made it playable (lolbugs), but it faded pretty fast.

The recent ones aren't as bad as the first games, everyone looked like a beardless dwarf with big hands.

I remember being surprised when CoD 4 seemed to have more accurately proportioned bodies.

There's a guy I know who told me he's glad he bought Blops because of the following:

A) it taught him about the crazy variants of guns that have been made throughout history, including the M16 flamethrower mount.

B) It runs 'as smooth as butter' and he experiences little to no latency.

I always thought rambo was born with his bow and its explosive arrows, so I guess he had them in vietnam too... so there, scientifically proven that they got this weapon at least right :p
