I say Blops has nicer visuals. They toned up the specular on the weapons compared to CoD4, so they look prettier. Other than that, there are only a few added features to the engine. Blops has better graphics, but not by a wide margin.
In Hardcore mode it isn't there.
@Pectus .. gotta agree, I have the same M14 setup and it pwns.
I never bought the M14, I used the Enfield until I got the AK, and I use the PSG1 with variable zoom as my sniper class, ****ing good gun.

I liked the read of that interview. Darn I would like to sit down with that Vet and ask him what he thinks "realism" in games means, and what his opinions of a RO approach to "realism" would be. IMO if there was ever a game that could be fun to play, while simultaneously providing a breathing example of the horrors of war it was RO.

... well... I guess that's probably what every COD player thinks of themselves, except with a bit more snobbish and a touch of lisp.
I actually had the chance to play this myself on Xbox 360 at a friend's place the other day.
First tried TDM, ended up running around while people camped, left about 2 minutes in.
Domination was better, though. It just seems so pathetically easy to pick up and wreck people, even the ones that have been playing longer than I have.
I used that pistol grip pump shotgun for ****s and giggles and absolutely destroyed one lobby for about 4 games. Later on I had to quit because I was gonna pass out from laughing so hard. Someone killed me with a MINIGUN walking around like Dutch from Predator, and I was running around with two ridiculous looking shotguns in both hands just steamrolling people.
There are so many killstreak types, grenades, and general stuff to piss people off it makes me realize why people would rather camp and let their equipment kill people for them.
I'd say Black Ops and even MW2 are 75% upgrades and equipment spam, and 25% actual FPS skill.
