Treyarch did a sterling job with WaW IMO, no reason to think any less of Black Ops. Should get my copy Fri/Sat. Shame I have to wait until Steam unlocks the game on Tuesday
Well, the balance wasn't that good in WaW (Mp40). Still, not as broken as MW2 with Dangerclose/OneManArmy tubes though.Treyarch did a sterling job with WaW IMO, no reason to think any less of Black Ops. Should get my copy Fri/Sat. Shame I have to wait until Steam unlocks the game on Tuesday![]()
Dude, they'll complain everytime there's a new CoD (at least the WaW thread had rolled up sleeves >_>).Amen brother. We'll come back to this forum 3 months from now and they'll still be complaining how bad this game is that they have never played. The power of the internet. I bet Ramm has ordered a copy. Imagine the horror of our anti CoD posters here if they found our the grand fubar had turned traitor.....
Only masochists and the blind deny themselves a fully resourced Treyarch Productions game. Much to their folly.

I have got chums in industry who have seen it evolve since alpha. They are very very excited. With a significantly larger HD gaming install base it will easily sell more than MW2. Witness the MW2 still selling. That's people who bought HD consoles this year. They will buy Black ops. Everyone will except the 10 bitter souls in this thread.
That'd be me. I didn't feel that way except maybe with MW2 but that was mainly because the SPs plot was just so damn stupid and I didn't play any MP. Maybe the next CoDs will bring more innovations since next up as far as I know are the games from that 3rd developer(forgot the name) and then the "new" infinity ward. Maybe if I had played lots of MW2 MP I'd be more "bored".I dunno man, $60 for another round of the same old same old seems a bit steep to me.
Anyone who's been with the series since the start has to admit things are getting stale by now. Not every game needs sequels until the end of time.
IDK it's just CoD for me = 6hours of cinematic action experience(though like I said MW2s story was ridiculous) in SP and lots of rather mindless fun with addicting leveling in MP. Of course when I want a really atmospheric realism experience I'd still go with RO or Project Reality or HoS once it's out, but I guess I know how to differntiate.
I love this new advert![]()
I've seen the screenshots of you RPG whore-ing!!!Well, the balance wasn't that good in WaW (Mp40). Still, not as broken as MW2 with Dangerclose/OneManArmy tubes though.
Oh yeah and quickscoping is now officially dead. Suck it babies.

The difference is that COD:WaW was fully featured for the PC, unlike this game.Treyarch did a sterling job with WaW IMO, no reason to think any less of Black Ops. Should get my copy Fri/Sat. Shame I have to wait until Steam unlocks the game on Tuesday![]()
I'm sorry, but I'm done with CoD forever. These days it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You're looking at 18 player ranked dedicated servers, which can't be hosted privately if you have a fast machine and want to host it. I call that BS.

Also, say what you will about the idea behind the game and the general gameplay. Stale and rehashed or not. But the art has been consistently outstanding throughout all CoD games up to now. They are well-made games. Whether they are good games is a matter of debate, but that they are well-made is obvious.
