Despite the things I liked about UO, the way they nerfed the weapon accuracy (hip AND ironsights) was enough to put me off. My whole clan at the time bailed from it because it was just ridiculous.
QFT!!!

I hate when people lump COD1 and UO together and say something like, "COD/UO is the best of the series!". The fact is COD and UO are very different and COD1 alone is the best of the series, UO just took it and made it spammy as hell. So stop treating them as one entity you pillocks!

Honestly, whoever made the design decision to decrease the accuracy and damage of all the weapons while at the same time giving them much less ammo must have been smoking the shagg carpet.

I don't really care if they go WW2 or stay modern, but please make the maps larger! United Offensive was the best in the COD series hands down because the maps were a lot bigger and you had vehicles which made it very good.
Nothing can replace RO for me, but if they make another COD I think it should be a lot more like UO was.

Yea they were able to fit 18 players in one match on the 360 with the Ground War game mode, only problem is the maps are pretty small for that, they can do it, so they should make bigger maps for PC owners of the game and bigger 360 matches.

Looks ok, would be far better imo if made by infinity ward. My experiences with treyarch (cod 3 for example) are that they do rush games and that they are just too glitchy and arcadey.

To be fair, cod, cod uo, cod 4 , and maybe (just maybe) cod 2 were not true arcadey games. But cod 3 imo was a bit more arcadey than the rust, and just lacked the grittyness of the others.

Well Treyarch now has twice as much time to develop CoD5 than what they had for CoD3. So I'm really looking forward to it, especcially with destructible cover etc.

And the return of the loveable flamethrower and co-op :)

Didn't look too bad, but that trailer was kinda... short. Was more of a teaser. I wanna see moar.

Edit:

Ooh, they released a longer one, yay. *Watches*

Edit2:

Who cares it's WW2, it looks pretty epic if you ask me. Hope it has a Hardcore mode aswell :>

So will the ruskies be in it then? As theres some screenies which shows german soldiers in berlin?

Also in an interview they said that they are going for a much more mature & gritty game! I really think they have been listening to the gamers and want to turn their bad reputation around!

Good for them, really looking forward to this!! Out 28/11/2008 according to play.

(sorry for size but it seems that the forum doesn't want my resized picture)

It doesn't look extraordinary, but i hope they will succeed to do a good gameplay but it seems that the plot is horrible and rather end into a polemic rather a good video games:

Treyarch refused to share details on the plotline (beyond hinting there'll be some celebrity voices), but it seems unlikely the Russians' path of murder and rape across Germany will be entirely reflected. Similarly, the Japanese seem a bit of a faceless, inhuman enemy in what we saw

You know, you'd think that when they're doing screenshots for big game review sites, they'd at least fix clipping and collision issues. *pleh*

I've only played COD2. Loved it in SP, but ... MP killed it for me, with the lack of anti-cheat, the delays in the SDK release, etc.
