The most recent update notes say "Please continue to report any QOL changes you believe should be added to the game by submitting your feedback in the ‘general’ section on our official forums", and so I will request my #1 QOL change here.

Please lower the weapon switch priority on C4 so it appears below the Healer and Welder instead of above them. Where it is now, it works against muscle memory of hitting the button once to switch to Healer and twice to switch to Welder. C4 is one of my favorite and most-used weapons, but I still find myself accidentally tossing a C4 instead of healing teammates because of muscle memory.

Thank you.

I mean... It does sound a bit like a personal problem, doesn't it? And not just because C4 are barely used by most people, but also because it's just a matter of remembering you have to press the same key thrice. It's a matter of habit, pretty much. Losing that muscle memory you're speaking of. Let's also remember some players don't even enable the welder in their inventory... So it would also **** up their potential muscle memory after all.

It's just like how when you use a single pistol, it's a sidearm, but when you use two it becomes a primary. Or just when you have multiple weapons and you ends up with the empty one by mistake...

I don't know, IMO it's just a matter of getting used to it.

But if it's below Healer and Welder, it will always be the same number of presses to get to it. As it is now, you end up pulling C4 out when your muscle memory says to go for Healer because you aren't using C4 in every build.

Yeah but not everyone chooses to enable the Welder, that's what I was saying. And again, not only is the C4 a weapon used by pretty much a single perk... But it's rarely used even by that perk. Hence why I'm not sure it's even that required.

It wouldn't hurt, that's not what I'm saying. I doubt it would take much time either. But it's just that I'm like : why bother at that point?

The answer to why bother is because it would be really helpful to me, and I'm sure others who accidentally throw a C4 instead of healing. I tend to use C4 on more than just Demo, but not every perk, which means that most of the time one tap of the '4' key will bring up Healer usually, but sometimes it won't. You can't learn muscle memory if the routine is constantly changing.

Of course, none of this would be a problem if you could bind specific weapons to keys like you could in KF1 with getweapon... but alas, that was never an option in KF2.

As for not enabling the Welder, it would still help in that case because then it would just be under the Healer. People who disable Welder could build muscle memory of Healer > C4, without having Healer's position changed based on whether they bought C4 or not.

I mean... You kinda disprove yourself right there. "People who disable welder could build muscle memory of healer > C4"

Well... Can't you? Can't you just remember "I have to press the key three times to get that syringe" ? Even more so if you make use of the C4 so often?

No. Press once to get healer is the norm. That's where it is the vast majority of playtime. Then sometimes, rarely, hitting the button once brings out a weapon that can kill you instantly instead of healing someone. Right now, C4 goes on top where Healer should always be.

My argument is that if it is below Healer and Welder, Healer will always be one button press and C4 will always be the same button presses, but precisely how many depends on if you have welder enabled or not.
