Once you're level 25 and have Nuke, buy the C4 on wave 2 or 3.

Whatever area you're camping, generally most Zed's will be coming from one area. For example, when camping Artic Cats on Outpost, most of the enemies will be coming from the locker room at door 4.

Throw a C4 into the room, and the run over to the other main area Zed's come from, with the exit from the building, under a balcony, under the heli-pad where Zed's spawn.

Stay there and blast away with your M79/HX25.
While you are shooting there, a Zed Time will occur during the wave.
If you have your M79 pointed at a bunch of Zeds, ignore the C4 and blast away!
But, if there are no enemies in front of you, or you are in the middle of reloading, when Zed Time occurs, quickly switch to C4, and tap secondary fire as fast as you can.
Chances are, since that is a Zed heavy entry point, you'll get a bunch of kills, not only from the blast, but from the radiation.
Go back, place your C4, then run back ti the other spot.
It may also happen, that when a Zed Time occurs, you ignore your C4 and choose to blast a group of Zeds or a SC/FP, but a Commando popping heads gives an extension and you can switch to C4, interupting your weapon reload, quckly repeatedly taping secondary fire to make sure the C4 explodes during Zed time, and you get TWO Nuke explosions during one Zed time.

It goes without saying you'll want to use all your C4 each wave, because the cheapest way to buy C4 is to sell the detonator for 487(i think) and rebuy it for 650, getting 8 C4 for $162 instead of the ludicrous price of $800

Also, for Hans, when he's chasing a team mate or grabbed one during his heal phase, is a really good time to stick him with as many C4 as you can. Often right after from killing the Zeds that will appear during his heal phase, Zed Time will occur, and you can blast the C4 stuck to him for the radiation damage. Multiple Nuke damage stacks, so blast away!
Doing this, you can Nuke him every time Zed Time occurs, which is especially useful after his final heal phase when he seems most likely to trigger Zed Time by killing a player.

So give it a shot and say what you think!

Edit: corrected info on radiation damage stacking

Demo in HoE camping strats is basically Cookie Clicker except when Scrakes get out of control and FPs show up. You just wait until you hear the "Shoom" sound of Zed time and then fire your overpowered as hell wall piercing AoE of doom from either your RPG or C4. If it weren't for FPs a Demo in a good crew could literally go the entire game after wave 1 ONLY firing in Zed time and still get 1st or 2nd in kills.

I'm hoping they fix this crap. Demo at level 24 is pretty UP and could use some buffs, but has some reasonably neat utility like FP grenade stun and RPG headshot KDs making them within the realm of not needing an absolute rework. Then suddenly at level 25 Nuke changes everything and Demo becomes an angry god who feasts on the souls of his enemies during Zed time.

Yeah demo is bad. They're useless outside of zed time and then when they use nuke I can see the radiation post-damage eating away a scrake's health bar in a couple of seconds, the same thing that would require me like 5 SCAR mags to the body as a commando. Whenever there's a demo on the team it just becomes about herding up the zeds so we can trigger a zed time when FP/Scrake shows up so the demo can kill everything with one click

Nuke should be removed from the game asap. It looks silly and out of the place, doesn't fit the game and is totally OP. And what comes to C4's, they are pretty useless as they ONLY work against FPs. SC and Hans take very very little damage from them, sirens destroy them with their scream and lessers zeds are not worth of your time anyway for 100D / piece. There should be atleast ability to blow them all at once.

Im probably one of the few that enjoys using C4 at lower levels and earlier waves. Great fun running towards trouble and trying to time a throw into a group for max impact!! :D

i think nuke should just be as strong as a medic grenade with a bigger radius and demo should get a buff for c4 consecutive explosions and rpg vs FP. Of course if c4 does more damage from consecutive explosions (maybe 80% from 50%), increase the weight so you cant have it with the rpg and make its sell price vary depending on how many c4 you have on you (the trigger will sell for 0 with 0 c4, and 487 for max c4, and will not count c4 that are already placed).

This change would make demo able to choose between 2 different loadouts that are equally viable for taking down fleshpounds (c4 + m79 or RPG-7 + HX25) so demo no longer has to rely on nuke so heavily for damage and it would still be balanced.

All nuke needs is to not stack the poison effect. The large AoE would be enough of a benefit as the single stack of damage would only kill small trash.

Some suggestions to keep demo viable afterwards:

1) RPG impact damage should be higher, it's currently the same as m79(which is pretty weak for a rocket, a gorefast would survive a body shot).

2) m79 needs more ammo capacity to justify passing on the RPG.

3) c4 should have stun power like dynamite for the added utility, especially since it's so expensive and takes a damage reduction with consecutive explosions.

4) This one is wishful thinking since it takes more than a simple number tweak. HX should load more than a single grenade at a time. All demo weapons being single shot makes them feel monotonous and reduces versatility.

5) Demo skills could use some work, but I'm not suggesting anything here.

Right now I never choose RPG.
With Nuke, M79 is better for two reasons:
When Zed Time occurs, you can't switch from RPG to C4 quickly enough to explode it during Zed time, and have a Nuke C4.
When Zed Time occurs, if you time it right (with practice) you can shoot the M79, switch to C4, and explode a C4, giving you a double Nuke. That will kill everything, including Fleshpounds.

That being said, I don't think Nuke was meant to kill trash. I'm not suggesting it should be as strong as it, but it was meant to be powerful to kill up to SC, as despite having health increases based on player count, he actually is a fairly common Zed.

I really like the demo class, I think it is fun (as long as you have a good team to protect you). Demo is not meant for kiting hate to break it to all you people who hate camping. A kiting demo is usually a dead demo unless the team is excellent. Also, if you do not like camping you can just go to another server, preferably an empty one so you can dictate the way you want to play. Problem solved.

C4 is awesome with the nuke!! It really helps take some pressure off the team. I do think the stacking of the damage is a OP though. Should turn it down a notch but keep it effective enough to alleviate some of that pressure off the rest of the team. Also, I prefer the RPG over the M79. Both need to be better: M79 needs more ammo and RPG needs a little more damage. Skills could be better as well: Reactive armor is just silly, there is no contest between the siren resistance and the door traps, and off perk is meh. I only use demo weapons anyways since I only play demo when I am with a team.

i never set c4 unless i'm going to detonate it right away

imo the best thing about c4 nuke is that you don't take any damage from it, so in HoE games when it's wave 9 and 2 FPs and a scrake show up just in time for the microwave to run out of ammo, i jump right in between everything during zed time, toss a c4, and detonate it a few inches from my face. everything dies and i remain dressed for sunday school

a big nerf would be to take away the self-damage immunity, but then i'd never use it again :(
