Especially since the game has drastically improved since the launch!
I would buy everyone a Cosmo or a battle of Jack if the game would actually "drastically improve"...and i don't mean performance wise, I applaud the efforts and efficiency so far in correcting bugs and performance issues. That is good work. I also love the hero/honor system, and getting my uniform dirty and what not, great ideas there! Even if bot farming takes all the "honor" from it, to be honest.
But,
The way to drastically improve this game would be to get some more, and larger maps with the ability to actually flank objectives without blowing up to bits by protected areas or being exposed to fire from everywhere, (pavs/commie's house faults, they'd be great maps if you could actually move to flanks, but they are boring camp fests now) , add more maps where you actually have to think and move as a team, and not just rush firing autos from the hip and camp staircases, remove some of these wierd perks and unlocks, ditch half of the semi and full automatic weapon slots, they are unneeded and this is 1941 right? Com'on.
Also, disable bot farming/boosting, it totally ruins the hard effort by everyone else to gain E-rep and hero status, let us detach bayos (RO1 has the most ingenuous bayonet feature ever...why change it?) and scopes and other unrealistic COD garbage like double mags, make it harder to aim under stress and fatigue, etc...
....and continue to improve the performance aspects.
The last one I do give much kudos for working on in a timely and effecient manner, props to you guys for that. But it means next to nothing when the gameplay is just another unfullfilling arcade shoot em up like COD with ww2 skins.
But,
Thanks Guys, I see you guys do give hard effort on the game, but I just wish you'd listen to the hardcore RO community more, and stop trying to copy COD. I just registered here and there's dozens of posts in the same camp as me on the very first page.
If you lose the base, don't count on 12 year old cod players to pick up the slack. Consider me lost, for now. Just like hundreds (thousands?) of other RO players who have moved on since the release. I know my
entire RO1/DH unit made up of early RO vets has bought the new game and quit within a few weeks too.
And all of us preordered and had wetdreams over the possibilities of RO2.
We are disappoint Sirs, we are all disappoint.
