Bugsplat immediately when trying to start the game

Seemingly out of nowhere, Killing Floor 2 is no longer able to launch for me. Whenever I press "Play Game" in Steam seconds later I get a Bug Splat. The game was running fine when I last played just a few days ago, and I can't think of any major changes or updates I've made on my computer since then.

Things I've already tried:
- restarting Steam client
- restarting computer
- deleting the KFGame folder
- verifying the integrity of the game's files
- uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game
- updating all my drivers.

Here's the full crash log from the KFGame folder

After looking back over my log and searching specifically for the phrase "Failed to find file for package Core for async preloading." I found another thread that seems to have solved the issue https://steamcommunity.com/app/232090/discussions/1/282992646973065500/

Apparently deleting the KillingFloor2 folder under My Documents fixed my problem, though I still have no clue what caused my game to start crashing like that in the first place.

havent you already stated that you deleted the kf folder?
but it ended up that you didn't and only now finding a thread of similar issue, have you deleted the folder.....

On the other note, there is some degradation going on with the game.
i had my game enter a not responding state when i've loaded into the monster ball.... And only on that map.
same fix tho.

I should have clarified the first folder I deleted was the "KFGame" folder located under steamapps. The one I deleted that somehow fixed my startup issue was the KFGame folder located under My Documents, which had all the custom maps I had downloaded over the past few years. It will be a pain to download all of them again, but at least it fixed my issue.
