Nope, no success so far, someone from Tripwire responded to my "ticket" but it was the exact same adivce that everyone else has offered.
Delete this file, verify on steam etc ect.
What hardware are you guys running?
I'm adamant this has to be a hardware issue.

I've done the same, with every reinstall I do the same routine.
The "ticket" option doesn't get you very far either, after suggesting verifying and deleting all the previous mentioned files they replied with 'we're working on it or just get a refund."

As you can see my game is so close to starting up, it's like there is an old file or something that hasn't been removed or edited properly from a patch.

lol really? this is ridiculous. Yea there are issues from beta, I don't get it like, in Beta worked all fine, with some bugs and problems as it should be (as ppl said) and now in release there is more problems then in Beta, wtf? Is not it supposed to be the other way around? Seems they don't care to much, the way you said about 'ticket' ... I know it's not easy to work on it but I this is funny lol.

Have you seen their latest post for update 1.01?
It's basically the same as last time "Crash fixes, with the priority on launch crashes"
Even when they claimed to be fixing it and finally did "fix" it (which turned out to be untruthful) they went into no detail what so ever.
I may not be speaking for all us on but I want details about this issue, possibilities on why it's happening and what to look for and how they might be able to fix it.

Yeah man I did notice, it's nothing ffs. Yea, but some problems should not happend like this, I mean, at least it need to be fix, if they were not ready with game why they release it? Well as I read, there will be release of patch but when, who knows... maaaaaaaybe they will fix it

Honestly I think you are really a small minority having this issue with crash on start, I don't know a single person with this problem in my steam list (and I have more than 100 people playing it). You're unlucky but you'll have to let them find why and fix it... It's not like everyone couldn't launch the game but it is only the few of you. And they may actually have fix the crash for some of you, but not all because there may be multiple reasons why the game does not start.

Be patient that's the only thing to do.

Yes steam... but there are people like in this forum, I know there is not many of them but still there are. And yes some of them fix the way you send some not. I'm not just only. I know there is a lot to do but still don't understand some things like from 'beta' and now, but anyway... I'm crazy so I still wait, still try to fix somehow. lol

That's not the point.
There has been more people unable to play since the beta and since further updates, just because you're not friends with the people on steam who are having these issues doesn't mean it's only restricted to a few.
And that's not even counting the ones who don't use forums such as this to communicate the issue, it's all over reddit as well.
I'm unable to get a refund because I played more than 15 hours in the beta, so now it's also a matter of principle, I'm not trying to be uncivil to tripwire themselves but I have been burnt like this before and refuse to let it happen again.
There is nothing wrong about keeping up the questions and the demands as a customer.
Being a small minority does not make the issue any less relevant or important, I think the tables would be quickly turned if this was you and everyone else in the same predicament.

Statistically yes, you are a real small minority, if on 100 people I have on Steam non have this problem, that mean this is a rare problem. fact. And this is why it may be harder to find the reason and the fix. If the 'table was turned' as you say, of course it would change the problem because if everyone else (the big big majority) couldn't start the game at all there would be a big big obvious problem in the game.. and that would make fixing it easier.

I did not say it is irrelevant, but that because you are a really small minority this is why it may take time to find the reason and the fix to it.

Also if all the people who have the problem all report their hardware and send bug reports that may speed up the process.

And even so a small amount of people can be suffering from this but that doesn't make the issue any smaller.
I'd say paying for a game and it not working/starting up AT ALL is a big problem, a real life example would be selling smoke detectors but 10 percent of those don't work at all and then being told that your issue can wait because you're not the majority and also because the company that makes the smoke detectors is just as preoccupied with changing the sound the device emits because some of the customers don't like the tone therefore pushing back the WORST issue even further.
Can you see how your numbers argument doesn't really hold any water to the issue?
Numbers don't equate to the severity of an issue and it should definitely not hold back progress due to lack of.
