I still think the real problem is he attack someone get close to him instead of running away... why he still attack someone when he needs to heal? That's jsut stupid. You only need one person standing beside him to make him attack, and that means a re-stun on him.

Shooting a rocket of cos is a good idea, and it seems it makes chainsaw surrounding a bad idea. Just one question: if you see him stun, and 4 ppl run away from him, will he still shoot his rocket? Just trowth out my view: when surrounded by 4 ppl, he use his rocket. This also prevents too many ppl using berserker in the boss fight.

I'm seeing a lot of good ideas in this thread. I like the Patty roar (not Siren scream) that was originally suggested. I also like the dust cloud idea and the rocket-to-the-face idea. Since I have to choose one, I'd go for the original.

Edit: People think it's a scream and not a roar because they are idiots and only read the poll before posting.

Short version of it would be great. So it pushes back and hurts all berserkers that cutting him, also stronger resistance against massive damage would be cool (so he can't get more than x damage within y amount of time)
With it we could give discount for pipebombs, cause right now it's ridiculously expensive.

I give a thumbs-up to the "pushback" idea.

Could you elaborate on your idea (massive damage resistance)? Perhaps the damage from subsequent attacks would be reduced after the Patty receives X damage in Y amount of time. It shouldn't reduce damage to zero, though, since that would prevent players from getting the "Straight Rush" achievement.

What I gleam from this is people agree that having the Patty break free from the pile on nis a good thing... looks like your mutator stands a pretty good chance ghost :)

I like both ideas. Both make sense. The siren scream because he could have easily added to himself and the point blank rocket launcher because he already has it.

Nah, he only shoots the rocket if 3+ people are within melee range. The number can be changed but the implementation is there. I just need to make him be smarter when escaping so they can't temporarily back up, then regroup on him when he's trying to run.

How would make it different from exploiting maps, just sitting and killing species?

6 Chainsaws for pat is obviously exploit, and very boring one. Why you bother fighting zeds till 10th wave then? just exploit map and kill pat with chainsaws.

^This. While I understand it is a valid tactic, it just seems weak. And I HATE people that use exploits. Makes me feel like I've been cheated out of my victory.

If he did get an AoE, I'd rather see it in the form of a war stomp that knocks everyone out of melee range, shakes their vision like a pipe bomb going off, AND reduces their movement speed to almost nothing for a few seconds so they can't just jump back on him as he runs away.

If not an AoE solution, the charge idea sounds great. The Patriarch should be able to brush you out of his path effortlessly, I mean look at him.

He onl do those AoE when 3 or more ppl are at MELEE RANGE. And support dont do full damage this close. Support do full damage several feets away from their target.

If you get to melee rage as support, you do only little damage, you cant even kill a clot.

But I like my 6 man Berserker ganging ... it's what allows me to get map achivements ;_;

Anyways, some small buff should be given on Begginer/Normal to give a little bit more challenge, in my opinion.

patty just needs to target pipe bombs anytime he sees them and he would be fixed. They should not have put pipes into the game without improving patty AI to deal with them. No this would not have been hard for them to do. Even better would be if he made a decision whether to target pipes based on benefit of running past them to get to players and how many pipes there are there that could damage him. And then pipes would still have a role vs patty as creating a diversion. Also they wouldnt need the 'damage scaling' for clusters of pipes that doesnt seem to work anyway.
