Ok I used Ramm Jaegers default ini, and his startup line on a linux box running FC4 with the latest glib libraries, dual xeon 3.2's, 2 gigs mem and 10 000 rpm scsi hd on an OC 148 backbone, I run other servers on this box and the pings are rock solid. With this app running pings are bouncing like mad, anywhere from 80-200 constantly. Any ideas on this? Also the web admin doesn't work, does this not work on linux? I don't have apache or anything running on the box, and I used the default .ini, is it enabled by default?

normaly bouncy ping indicates overload, obviously youve got a very powerful machine. If possible stop the other servers and just try the ro server on its own. Are the pings stable at low player numbers?

There is no overload, the server is empty. CPU usage is 14% of 400% it's a hyperthreaded dual xeon. It's still really bad, the other servers are rock solid, just the RO server is bad.

yes i was observed this in general. We've a similar propaganda's machine but the ping is more higher that in other games. For example if i ping from my home the machine my ping is 50 but ingame is 90-100, with other games there're a similar ping when i pinging. The ping is stable but more higher that in other games tested in the same machine -now the machine only have 1 RO server-
Why this, is a engine problem, bad server config or what? would be interesting any technical aclaration
