Well if you look at the ammo counter thing of the MG42 you can see
that it clearly says 'Unlimited' :p
And the cover system is just bleh.I prefer the old way, lean keys for the win.

being a texture guy im a little annoyed that the textures in BIA HH (i know they are for xbox 360) are very basic and that the normal maps do most of the work, just look how great a game like crysis can look with good textures and normals maps and while HH looks good it could have looked so much better :(

Still i'll probs be buying this.

Combine that with good story and interesting characters, and for me personally a great setting (wich Dutchman wouldnt like to kick the germans out of his own Holland?) and interesting scenario's being brought to life (for example the bombing of Eindhoven after the allies liberated it, of wich there are screenshots and by just looking at those i allready feel the shivers down my spine )
And they capture the feeling of our country very well IMO, it looks so Dutch.

Yeah, exactly. For me, one of the most important factors of this game will be the scenery and atmosphere of the Netherlands in the 1940's, and it looks like they did that pretty well. I'll probably get the game for that reason alone.

The cover system looks pretty cool... the way you look over his shoulder, it looks pretty real. The iron sights look neat, too.

People here always complained about not being able to sniper0rz their way through the level and shoot every German toe that's sticking out of cover, but I call this a good thing. At least BiA had pretty realistic firefights, and it focused on fire and manouvre tactics. Realistic feeling firefights = good. So BiA HH might not be the most realistic WWII shooter ever, but it will FEEL realistic. And like SiC said, it pays attention to characters and story, which also increases realism.

The AI of your teammates though... terrible, and it really brought down the game for me. I hope they make that a heck of allot better, but I doubt it... great teammate AI hasn't been done in a game yet. Also, I don't like that grenade explode effect, it looks like something out of Star Trek.

It seems the person who made that video played on Easy difficulty. The game better be more challenging on the higher difficulties.

That Resistance guy really sounded Dutch. They pay attention to details.
I just really hope they fix the way the MG is setup cuz it's hovering in the air.

They never said it'd be realistic. They said it would be authentic.

The redness bothers you, but the R6 Vegas style cover system doesnt?

Hmmm.

I dont like that much either. Still, everything else seems to be staying true to the original BiA games.
The only reason i'm looking forward to HH is it's in Holland for a change, where i live, and the emphasis on the story.

But @ Shurek, the suppression dots have allways been there. But you could turn them off, so i guess itll be an option again.
I hope they make the red blurring an option too, it looks like ****e

He does sound Dutch. I think they hired a Dutch voice actor for that. I like how much attention they payed to the details; sheep in the meadows, etc. The characters look and sound good too.

WOOHOO, shooting at red suppression dots! And iron sight's zoom for the loss! Nice work ubi:rolleyes:

You can turn the suppression dots (and the crosshairds) off.

Red screen looks lame, that better be optional indeed.

Right ok then..."authentic"...as in conforming to fact?

I can't say I've been paying much attention at all to Hells Highway, probably because someone was going to decide something stupid like "Let's have a cover system that allows the player to see who is approaching and from where".

You have been able to turn off the red dots on people in all previous BiA games. But you never had a very silly cover system that allowed you to see what was coming when you were behind a wall. I'm usually ok with small allowances with views (for example a limited temporary 3rd person perspective) to make up for lack of visual periphery, or the fact that something just doesn't appear as easily as it would in real life (identifying planes in IL2 for example).

There's no reason why you couldn't have leaning like the original BiA game, or have a "pop your head up" button. For goodness sake! Having this system removes a large part of the tactical decision making! If you know where your enemy is what the **** is the point?
I don't know who's call it was, Gearbox or UbiSoft, but whoever decided should get a firm smack in the face.

OFT! (and hey that's you second one from me lately so your doing well mate ;))

Add to this that cover systems are so clunky and unintuitive, at least in my opinion. I prefer to find my own cover frankly and I think it works better this way, these systems are just for idiots and can impact the asthetics of the game. Like when you see levels which littered obviously designed piece sof cover that just look out of place. Good example is the 'small wall/overturned cart every 5 meters' design of the original BiA levels.

Also I don't know how in the hell Ubi can call it 'authentic' when we all know that they changed the outcome of the battle to a victory, just to make the game more stomachable for it's target audience. It was announced from the get go and with that all authenticity went flying out the window as far as I'm concerned.

Lol so wrong. You don't win, at least you don't win Operation Market Garden. Also there was no leaning in any earlier BiA games. And why is the cover-system

I bet the cover system is to allow you to command your fireteams properly. Without having to leave cover to do so, like in the older BIA games :)

Makes sense to me - as BIA games are more about being a squad leader rather than a true FPS

maps are 5 times larger than the older games - so authentic mode - where you only get one life is gonna be a ***** :D
