And that's the problem in a nut shell.

No, that's your problem in a nutshell, you could just say "we disagree, i don't need that level of realism in a game to enjoy it" and be done with it, but instead you seem to think that our opinion is something that should be fought against tooth and nail..

Stop trolling, i have as much right to say "this game does not offer the kind of realism i want" as you do "this game looks like something i would enjoy", our opinions differ, big friggen deal, get over it.

Apart from everything looking stiff and inorganic, it might be pretty good. The cut scenes are certainly enticing.

I swear that everytime I see a video for this game, it looks and plays completely different. Originally, it looked pretty good, now I'm not so sure. And whats with the crosshairs and zooming in on someone when you get a headshot? Seems to be shying away from its realism roots and going for the more arcadey ww2 game type

Was never so realistic but instead authentic in terms of how they create the weapons, levels etc.

Man, they sure are doing a neat job rendering the Holland of 1944.

That, and the characters. They really try to bring them to life, they're not just mindless AI soldiers like in so many games.:)

BiA never was that realistic.
It's realism was based on the feeling, the 'realness' of the feeling of combat, and on the story, and not really gameplay mechanics.
That said, i cant say i really like the cover system, or the camera zooming in on some grenade hits, but imho that same feeling of 'real combat' is still there, i think i can say this game seems to be going further into the horrors of war unlike anything seen before in other games.

The things ive seen so far are dramatic yes, and dramatic things have been done before, but usually that meant it being done in a cliche way.
I've yet to see some stuff that feels real cliche in my eyes.
Like the dutch kid that shoots a German in the back, or the example in this video, the teenage girl being hung at Son.

Some of the cinematic things added into the game now arent something i really like, but i'm just glad the game doesnt become more of a run and gun thing like other shooters are.
The tactics are still there. Ofcourse, getting the camera zoom in after each grenade thrown will become annoying, but i think ive heard them say they are gonna limit it to just some special occasions, and right now its more used for demo-ing.
And for the fact they are portraying Market Garden and war in general in a much better way then your average WW2 shooter makes it easier for me to overlook these things. They are small additions, nothing else, they dont seem to take away the stuff that made BiA good in my eyes. But they arent great either.
