2D Art Brick texture tool

Wow - that might be handy - just dry brush some grime over it, liquify a bit to break up the smooth lines, overlay some moss texture on the mortar and you got a good texture.

That took 5 minutes - woulda been less if I hadn't bothered with the lighting effects (and I really shouldn't have :D)

Shame there isn't one for planks. :(

Have you tried the whole program that does more than just Wood?

I haven't, just wondering if it's worth buying or not. ;)

For $399? No, I don't think it's worth it. However, you can DL a demo. The demo is time limited and puts a watermark on rendered images.

There is a free renderer, though. The demo can save files and the free renderer will load them and render an image without the watermark.

I think it's a really good program and would consider buying it, if it cost a whole lot less.

Genetica 2.5 is great for making all kinds of tileable textures. Sure, it has a watermark in the demo but the clone tool in PS soon gets rid of that.

Get it here: http://www.spiralgraphics.biz/download_gen.htm

Here's an example of some lichen-covered sandstone that took about 2 minutes to make and 1 minute to PS out the watermark
