Brace and Rest animation SMGs/Rifles

How about a small animation to let you know your SMG or Rifle is rested against a surface.
It would mean we wouldnt need the little white icon as well.


Prahaps a hand on top of the gun to stedy it when resting the gun on a surface and a hand to brace the gun when braceing against a wall.

if you put your hand on the gun wouldnt it be unable you to look down your sights? IMO they would get in the way.

I know, I know, its just a genral suggestion that I was makeing. Prahaps some one else could suggest a suitiable and realistic animation

Left hand should disappear under the buttstock, i guess?

More important issues to address, IMHO. But it's a neat idea.

Why would the left hand go under the buttstock? That is only what snipers and heavy machine gunners use. An SMG wouldn't need that, maybe just showin somone laying the front part of the gun on the ledge? But how would it work on the walls? You can rest your gun on vertical surfaces too.

I like this idea as a way to indicate that you are 'braced'. You settle down, look down the sights, and stare off further into the distance, readying yourself for that long-shot.
