Could it be possible to make bots (over online server) to be like single players bots.

Make them non active...Like, smoking a cigarette. Chat with others bots. Make them walk or patrol ...

I think it could be more fun than fighting against them all the time.

you need animation files for that, then you need to redesign the bot's behavior so that they will stop and do those things. if you want them done dynamically, it will be hard. but you can program it so they are talking to each other. if you want them to interupt their routine when enemies start shooting at them, you will need scripts and animations for that.

I doubt this would be in the game, idle bots and all...

Erm, i think there will be idle bots in the solo. No?

And with the coop mode i think you will be able to realise what you want... missions with idle bots or patrol moving around. (just need to map & script)

Well if I'm not mistaken solo is just a couple of scripted scenes with a little backstory over the 10 maps of Stalingrad. Not sitting around in a trench talking to soldiers until you get attacked.

Again, it could work if you edited the AI and scripted a bit...

I would be much more interrested in actually seeing a bot match with expert bots against each other that would be awesome.... full hd of course..... :p

that would look identical to regular mp, except with characters acting in a more routine and predictable manner.

i will wait and see how sp turns out. if it's missing some atmosphere and human behavior, then i will write scripts for it. but i think the simple stuff relating to narrative will be included already.

Actually yeah you can just put down a AI Bot and then change its traits to:

ReactionToPlayer: CGIngore
ReactionToEnemy: CGIngore

And you can have a bot with a pistol, standing there like a total d*ck

yes, but it still needs idle animations, so they guy doesn't stand there his weapons in ready position all the time. and something like an idle sitting animation will be useful in concert with props like chairs and boxes.

they also mentioned facial bones and from the screen shot and videos it certainly seems the faces are quite animated. this will be useful for having characters converse with each other.

from the selections shown by twi, it seems they have many cutscene type animations available already. hopefully among those will be a good relaxed animation.
